🎉9 years of Nectar. 9 years with these three. 🎉

When we opened our doors nine years ago, Luke, Aaron and Armando were there, and somehow we’re lucky enough to still have all three of them with us today.

If you’ve spent any time at Nectar over the years, chances are you know them. Luke has been a familiar face in the café, Aaron behind the bar and serving our guests, and Armando has been holding it down in the kitchen since day one.

Nine years is a LONG time. They’ve been here through busy Saturdays, menu changes, early mornings, late nights and pretty much every version of Nectar along the way.

We wouldn’t be celebrating nine years tomorrow without the people who helped us get here, and these three have been a huge part of it from the very beginning.

Luke, Aaron & Armando, thank you for growing with us, sticking with us and being part of the Nectar family for all nine years. We love you guys. 🩵

✨DONELSON, WE NEED YOUR HELP ✨

Our local schools have reached out to HIP Eats, and right now there is an increased need for food donations to help support local students.

Many of our schools keep a small pantry where they can put together food bags for students who may be experiencing housing instability, food insecurity, or simply may not have enough to eat when they leave school. These bags go home with kids who could use a little extra support , and right now, those pantry shelves need our help.

Beginning today, Nectar Urban Cantina and TennFold Brewing are bringing back our Fill the Pantry drive for HIP Eats!

We have donation boxes at both Nectar and TennFold, and we’re asking our Donelson community to help us fill them.

Some of the items needed are individually packaged, shelf-stable foods like crackers, granola bars, cereal, fruit snacks, applesauce, juice boxes, shelf-stable milk, mac & cheese cups, ramen, and other easy-to-prepare foods.

You can also help by rounding up your purchase to the next dollar when you visit Nectar or TennFold.

It doesn’t have to be a huge donation. A few snacks, a few dollars, or an extra item tossed into your cart can make a very real difference for a child right here in our community.

🌽 GET LOST IN THE MAIZE. 🌽
Our newest cocktail has arrived at Nectar, and there’s a little Donelson folklore hiding inside this one. 👀

LOST IN THE MAIZE
Jack Daniel’s Sour Mash Wh***ey, house-made roasted corn-agave syrup, lemon juice, orange bitters and a salt-pepper rim.

Why the corn? Well…that’s where the K**blin comes in.
Legend has it that back in the 1800s, a mischievous creature roamed Todd’s K**b after dark, stealing corn, apples and other crops from local residents. Farmers even began leaving crops as offerings, hoping the K**blin would take the food and leave them alone.
More than a century later, apparently he’s still getting into the corn. 🌽

The K**blin Festival will be held Saturday, October 3rd in the heart of Donelson at Donelson Plaza, celebrating one of our neighborhood’s strangest—and most fun—pieces of local folklore.
And we’re joining in.
A portion of the proceeds from Lost in the Maize will go to support the K**blin Festival.

Lost in the Maize is now available at Nectar Cantina, so come try one before the K**blin finds out what we’ve done with his corn. 👀

As the Music City Flatpicking Festival draws closer, we want to show a little love for our hosts at Nectar Urban Cantina!

Bluegrass Nashville and Nectar are a natural fit because we both put community at the center of what we do. Whether it’s creating a great music experience or providing a great neighborhood place to eat, drink and hang out, bringing people together is at the heart of it.

We’ve been working together all summer on our Sundown Sessions, and early on the folks at Nectar came to us with an idea: what if we did something bigger? That conversation grew into the inaugural Music City Flatpicking Festival & Guitar Championship.

On September 12, we’ll have a full day of bluegrass at Nectar with the Nashville Flatpicking Guitar Championship, some of our favorite local pickers and an incredible lineup of bands carrying us into the evening. Come for an hour. Come for dinner. Bring the family. Or hang out with us all day.
