It was wonderful, as a small business, to showcase our wines to USF alumni during the Taste of North Bay event. Our very own Daniela Bazan is a proud alumna, which made the experience even more special.

The season’s first detailed vineyard work is taking place at Bazán Family Vineyard with suckering.

This important practice helps us fine-tune the vine’s growth after winter pruning. By removing shoots that appear in places where they are not needed, our team encourages better airflow, cleaner vine structure, and a more balanced canopy.

At this early stage, suckering helps focus the vine’s energy on the shoots that will support the fruit for the vintage ahead.
