Meet our head brewer! We asked Cody a few questions so you can get to know the person behind the beer. 🍺
Q: What got you into brewing?
A: My first exposure was at Alvarado Street Brewery in 2015. I tried their “Salute Your Schwartz” and it was one of the best beers I’d ever had. That experience really sparked my curiosity about brewing, so I picked up a homebrewing book and started brewing with one of my friends.
Q: Dream beer you want to brew someday?
A: I don’t necessarily have a “dream beer,” but there are a lot of different ingredients I’d like to work with someday.
Q: Favorite part of the brewing process?
A: Building recipes and watching fermentation. Seeing yeast thrive in a healthy environment is especially satisfying. It’s when everything you designed starts coming to life.
Q: Favorite thing on the Peter B’s menu?
A: I would say the smash burger
Q: Are you a morning or night person?
A: I am an early bird and a night owl
Q: Go-to comfort show?
A: The Office, or Parks and Rec
Q: Favorite way to spend a day off?
A: Relax at home and build Legos with my son.
Q: Coffee or tea?
A: Coffee for sure.
Q: Most used emoji?
A: Thumbs up emoji
Q: What’s your oddly specific pet peeve?
A: People who do not use turn signals.
Q: If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?
A: If I could instantly master any skill, it would be drums. I’ve got an electric kit I play every day, but I’m still pretty awful at it.
Q: Something you’re really looking forward to right now?
A: I am looking forward to summertime.
