Executive Chef Alvin here at successfully “Carmel-ized” this classic with the addition of a Gochujang Angus beef patty, kimchi fried rice, and bulgogi beer gravy, all beneath the classic fried egg! Our second release brewed with the crew, inspired by local legend…a mysterious group of tall, shadowy entities purportedly seen observing travelers along the ridgelines of the Santa Lucia Mountains in Big Sur…also known as Los Vigilantes Oscuros.👻👻

A collaboration of mythic proportions emerges from the mist. Spectral figures stalk the mountain peaks at dusk, towering above the fog-drenched ridgelines, waiting… silently watching, their eyes aglow. The Dark Watchers are harbingers of our shadowy conspiracy with the adepts at Brujos Brewing, those enigmatic practitioners of arcane liquid alchemy. This Hazy Triple IPA, both ethereal and immense, is the murky consequence of our clandestine work. Wander into the hypnotic cumulus of tropical resin and succumb to the ineffable depths of terpene expression. Dare to drink it in and catch a glimpse of something you were never meant to see.

We have long admired their beer, and had the opportunity to get the full experience back in March when we attended and poured at their Anniversario celebration. Ivan, Sam and the rest of their crew run an insanely dialed operation and brew truly inspiring hoppy beers on both sides of the spectrum, and we’re grateful to have had the opportunity to make a few beers with them. Which we’ll be debuting Friday! Along with a lil’ mini tap event featuring four of their beers, fresh outta PDX and into the faucets of our Monterey Beer Garden.
