We don’t think twice about paying $20 for cocktails at a bar but the moment someone brings that same craft to your event, suddenly the price needs justification.

I’ve been in the mobile bartending business for over 2 years, and one of the most common conversations I have goes something like this: “Can you do it for less?”

And I always want to ask back, less than what, exactly?

Less than the cost of my certification? Less than the insurance that protects your event? Less than the hours spent consulting, curating a custom menu, building the shopping list, sourcing and preparing the garnishes, syrups and fresh juices? Less than loading up and driving to your venue? Less than setting up a full bar from scratch, executing flawlessly, and cleaning up after 150 of your closest friends, family and/or colleagues?

Here’s what people forget: this isn’t a service that’s always already built into your event. Often times there is no bar bolted to the wall. Someone is showing up, with their hands, their training, their tools, and their craft, specifically for you.

We have a habit of assigning value to a place and discounting the value of a person. A restaurant bar exists whether you show up or not. A mobile bartender builds your experience from the ground up, every single time with custom -everything-.

So, the next time you’re tempted to negotiate someone’s rate, ask yourself: would you walk into a restaurant and ask them to charge you less because your order feels “simple”…..

The Boozy Infusions are now available at WhirliGig Unique Boutique in Elizabethtown! If you haven’t been to this store, be sure to check it out! The owner (Stacey) has done an amazing job curating talented vendors for her really cool space. Bonus - it also has a delicious coffee shop and some other really cute stores in the building!

Fantastic night at Bear Mill Estates with 2 P’s in a Pot Catering for their bridal open house! Love that I can connect with couples wanting a mobile bar for their wedding but they are also buying my cocktail infusion kits for their bridal party gifts! 🍸🍋‍🟩
