Alejandro Escovedo & The Electric Saints return to the White Water this Wednesday, October 28th for what could very well be yet another life-changing show for all in attendance. Less than twenty tickets presently remain @ whitewatertavern.com. Glen Hooks wrote a great review of Alejandro's last show here for the , excerpted below:

"One of the reasons — maybe even the main reason — that the White Water Tavern so often has the word 'legendary' unironically put in front of its name is a commitment to booking absolute icons. I’d bet that damn near 100% of White Water’s denizens have a favorite story about seeing a legendary act at our local jewel of a tavern. For me, I always think about folks like Billy Joe Shaver or Ramblin’ Jack Elliott or Dale Watson. One of my very lucky, schadenfreude-loving friends enjoys reminding me of that one surprise Billy Bragg show he saw at White Water when I was out of town.

On Saturday night, I got to add one more performer to my list. Alejandro Escovedo, y’all. Whatta legend and whatta show.

The short and dirty for those who aren’t familiar: Escovedo has steadily been making music since the 1970s, multi-genre stuff ranging from first-wave punk to roots and alt-country to Chicano rock to cowpunk. The same guy whose punk band (the Nuns) opened for the S*x Pistols’ final show in 1978 played White Water almost 50 years later. Dude’s seen some things, y’all. Heck, he’s even an uncle to famed percussionist Sheila E.! E is for Escovedo? Who knew?

There’s something genuinely special happening when the whole room is dancing and you’re making eye contact with all your bouncing friends across the way, one at a time, and just openly but quietly acknowledging that each of you is HAVING A MOMENT. I feel like this is a show that attendees will be talking about for years to come, dropping Escovedo’s name into casual conversations (Oh, you don’t know him? I saw him in a small club back in 2025 and that dude is THE TRUTH. You should really check out his stuff …) Escovedo brought the magic and we all spent the evening happily wallowing in it."

This Thursday, October 29th 💥 Dandelioness will be in from the wilds of Eastern Arkansas to celebrate the release of her brand new record, Eden, along with a performance from the mighty Emily Fenton 💥 These two scorpio songwriters are joining forces to bring you a joint birthday Scorpio party and celebrate the luscious darkness of the Halloween scene, complete with a photo booth from Little Rock photographer Anna Culpepper (a scorpio herself) and tarot readings from Amber Perry. Dandelioness is known for her radioactive falsetto, visceral performances, and the strange, hypnotic spell she casts on every room she steps into. Equal parts bohemian goth, cosmic diarist, and mischievous shadow-work guide, she turns rock clubs into listening rooms and listening rooms into portals.

Emily Fenton (she/her) is an artist from Little Rock, Arkansas with roots in Ithaca and New York City. Her music absorbs the raw honesty of folk, charming melodies of country, and irreverent attitude of rock ‘n’ roll to create a sound as unique and personal as the message they carry. Fenton’s autobiographical songwriting and vocal style evoke a nostalgia reminiscent of 90s Lilith Fair.

Matt “HeartBreak Hill” plays the deep blues, rockin’ R&B, and scorching roots rock with a passion and a love for the music that defines the South. Hailing from North Carolina, Hill was nurtured on the sounds of NC artists like Link Wray and Nappy Brown. In 2011 his debut record On The Floor won him a Blues Music Award for Best New Artist. Hill's next release Tappin' That Thang solidified his soulful raw sound. Since 2013, Hill has toured with Rock N’ Soul artist Nikki Hill. May 2022 HeartBreak toured Spain and released Here Comes Heartbreak recorded in Memphis TN.

Brian “Howlin’ Hurd is an American blues singer, songwriter, harmonica player and guitarist originally from St. Louis, Missouri and currently residing in New York City. Over the last decade he’s amassed a cult-like following all his own as the frontman and namesake behind Brooklyns infamous Rhythm & Blues keepers of the flame, Daddy Long Legs. Recent accolades include two Top Ten albums on the Billboard blues charts with “Street Sermons” and “Lowdown Ways” (Yep Roc Records) earning 5 stars from Rolling Stone magazine with features on NPR as well as regular airplay on the BBC reaching as high as #10 on the UK’s top 40 Americana charts. A Howlin’ Hurd show is equal parts, roots rock, blues and guttural soul, stripping down old standards and making them shiny and new again.
