Another Sower’s Cup is in the books! We’d like to sincerely thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to help judge this year; this competition would not be possible without your expertise and commitment. A huge shoutout to our judges who traveled to Lincoln to participate – we hope that you had an enjoyable experience and that you’ll join us again next year! And one last call-out to the judges who participated in all 6 judging sessions – Mark Beatty, Lash Chaffin, Patrick McCabe, Jason McLaughlin and Tom Mendick (who also came in from Omaha all 5 days). Be sure to drink some water today and re-hydrate 😊

The fourth day of judging is in full swing! Some familiar, friendly faces joining us tonight. Join us tomorrow evening at 8pm CST for the 2025 Sower’s Cup Awards Ceremony (streaming link below). We’re so excited to be holding our 2nd annual Sower’s Pup between our BOS and the awards ceremony. The timeline has been adjusted based on last year and we’re looking forward to starting on time, but would appreciate your patience should we need it! 🙂🐾🍺

Second round of check-ins complete! A little over half the entries checked in. Just barely missed a load from the Patriot Brewery and Homebrew Supplies drop-off, but we’ll get those checked in very soon. It’s gonna be a long week, but this part of the process is always its own brand of fun!

First round of unboxing for the 2025 Sower's Cup at Jake's Cigars-Lincoln is in the books! 128 entries are checked in and we'll be back to do it again in the first half of next week 🙂

You only need to register your information once and can return to this site to enter more brews or edit the brews you've entered. You can even pay your entry fees online if you wish.

Hey Sower’s Cup fans! We are getting to work early this year and wanted to pass along some preliminary information to help everyone plan.

1) Judging for the 2025 Sower’s Cup will be the week of August 18th with the awards ceremony being the evening of Saturday, August 23rd

2) Back by popular demand, The Sower’s Pup (a beer tasting event open to the community) will be held again prior to the awards ceremony! All proceeds go to a local non-profit for dogs.

3) 2025 Special Categories (category names may get more creative, but guidelines will be the same)
A: Corn! - Brew a beer with at least 11% corn in the grain bill to celebrate the 11th Sower’s Cup
B: N/A - Brew a non alcoholic beer or Hop Water

We look forward to rolling out more details as we land them, but hopefully this is enough to get you all started!
