I can’t thank you enough for the love and messages over the last few days. The GoFundMe is now live for those who asked how they can help.

I’ll personally be traveling to Jamaica to make sure every dollar raised goes directly toward helping families in Savanna-la-Mar and nearby communities most affected by Hurricane Melissa.

We’re focused on getting food, clean water, and shelter into the hands of those who need it most.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with concern for my family and friends in Jamaica. It’s been one of the longest 24 hours of my life. Communication/electricity has been down on their side of the island, and I haven’t been able to reach them directly. Thankfully, a close friend was finally able to check in and let me know that my family is safe and in good spirits.

Unfortunately, our home wasn’t so lucky. Like so many others on the island, we’ve lost our roof and have major structural damage…but the most important thing is that everyone is safe. They’ve been able to find shelter in two rooms of the house until we can start figuring out what comes next in the rebuilding process.

I’m so grateful for all your messages, thoughts, and prayers as my small but resilient country, family, and community begin to rebuild.

One Love 🇯🇲

At some point, I may also start a small fund to send support directly back to my community once we can assess what’s needed most.
