The Big Orange League recently held its annual awards banquet at the Huntingdon Country Club. The evening began with a tribute to three dear friends and members of the league who have recently passed... Bill Landis and Keith and Susie Black. Three place settings at a special table represented the league members' thoughts and prayers to their memory and their families.

Special awards included the presentation of the coveted orange cups to Ed Gargula and Geoff Clarke for winning the 2026 championship. The teams for the 2027 season were announced and will include the following:

Ed Gargula | Larry Newton
Gerry Huggler | Phil Thompson
Alan Herbster | Geoff Clarke

The 2027 season will mark the 50th year of the league. A toast was made to the long-standing tradition of this special league and to those who have played in it and to those who have supported it.

The Superintendent's Revenge Golf Scramble has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 31 with an 11am Sh***un*.

Already on a Team
If you're on a team that has registered for this tournament,
let us know if your team can play or not play on October 31st by visiting or calling the pro shop at 814-627-0631 by Monday, October 26. If your team can play, let us know if there any changes to your team or if you're looking for other teammates.

Not on a Team
There are a couple of openings and possibly more for teams or golfers who couldn't play this Saturday but can play on October 31st. Visit or call the pro shop to enter your team or possibly be assigned to a team.

Congratulations to Ed Gargula of Huntingdon who recorded the fifth hole-in-one of his golfing career today at the Huntingdon Country Club!

He used a 3-wood to ace the 140-yard, par 3 fifth hole. Gargula, who is an HCC golf member, was playing with Chip Lewis, Martin Kyper, Mike Reese and Bob Gergel.

This was the sixth ace of the 2026 golf season at HCC.
