Well… this is awkward.

We were broken into. Again.
Yes. Again again. Within two weeks. Bold.

At this point, we do feel obligated to share some developing leads:

The patio possums.
You may remember them—the ones wildlife rescue safely relocated after they kept trying to come into the restaurant like they had a reservation.

They were… persistent.
They were… coordinated.
They absolutely tried multiple times to get inside.

We’re not accusing anyone. We’re just saying the timing is… interesting.

New at Plonk! Fior d’Arancia Blue (Blu al Fior d’Arancio) is a very distinctive Italian blue: creamy, aromatic, and sweet-leaning because it’s aged with Fior d’Arancio Passito wine and topped with candied orange peel.

We're serving it with orange fennel mostarda, hazelnut crumble, orange-infused apricots, fennel pollen, and house-made olive oil crackers.

A little extra studying happening around here lately.

Our chef is preparing for the Court of Master Sommeliers Certified Sommelier exam next week, and along the way she’s been leading some staff tasting sessions to share what she’s learning.

So far we've been tasting and talking about things like acid, sweetness and dryness, tannin, aroma, intensity, and finish — the building blocks of how wine is evaluated.

It’s been a fun way for the whole team to learn together (and taste a little wine along the way).
