Welcome to West Michigan's first board game bar, lounge, restaurant, and retail store all wrapped up into one.

Our Halloween Demo Day starts at 11am tomorrow!

We're demoing a bunch of spooky-adjacent board games, plus the super-popular Blood on the Clocktower!

We'll have c***r. We'll have root b**r. We'll have donuts. We'll have a costume contest (one for adults, one for kids) with prizes, as judged by our goblins. We'll have raffles for the games being demoed plus lots of other goodies, and some free stuff just for coming in.

Come in and play some games, and explore our new retail area while you're at it.

Alcohol consumption will be limited to the bar area, but we'll have plenty of non-alcoholic options available for while you're gaming.

Game on!

Have you tried our new sandwich special? The Circle of Spores is a medley of mushrooms, with plenty of spicy and tangy vegetables, cheese and Madras mayo on a French roll, perfect for an aspiring druid or fan of the fungi world.

We can officially seat a lot of gamers! Our expanded retail store opens next week. We're waiting on a couple of bureaucratic processes to finish before y'all can have adult beverages in the new dining room. Stay tuned!

What's better than trivia twice a month? How about four or five times a month??

The House Rules trivia night presented and hosted by Betka-Pope Productions is expanding in November! Eirann and Jenn will host general knowledge trivia every Monday, with a super special themed trivia every 5th Monday of the month.

This event is free, and tables open at 6pm and trivia starts at 7pm. Bring your friends (no more than five of them, though), and compete against other teams for gift cards and other goodies. Come early, grab a bite to eat, get your thinking and drinking caps on, and trivi-YAH!

It's spooky season which means you're sweet tooth has been activated and we at House Rules are here for you.

Introducing our new dessert case! The reach in fridge just got a lot cooler with these halloween inspired treats!
Spooky Dirt Cup - A vanilla cream cheese parfait with blackberry jam & red velvet chunk layers, topped with gummy worms and tombstones!
Twin ghost cookie sandwiches - 2 Powdered sugar cookie sandwiches, one with a blackberry jam filling & the other with a raspberry jam filling.
Cobweb cupcake - Oreo cookie chocolate cupcake with a raspberry jam filling, topped with chocolate frosting, marshmallow web and a spider ring you can wear while you eat!

What's going on at House Rules? We're expanding! Again!

Today we busted through the wall to the vacant space next door. This expansion will double our square footage. Half of the new space will be for additional seating, and half will be for a retail store.

The new seating area will seat up to 120 guests. Our weekly and special events will be held here. We're tired of turning away guests for these events, or walk-ins for regular gaming, because we're full. This may sound counter intuitive, but we're also removing some seating from our existing space. We heard you, and agree, it can get pretty loud and crowded in here.

The other exciting part is opening a dedicated retail store! No more squeezing around tables to browse games for sale. It will be quieter and have staff available to help find games. We'll also have tables for demo games to try before you buy.

We don't have an official opening date, but we're estimating about three weeks. Follow for updates!

We are open for normal business hours during construction.
