Located in the heart of Duluth’s Canal Park neighborhood on the shores of Lake Superior, Canal Park Brewing Company is a locally owned brewpub built for people who love great beer, good food, and North Shore adventure. Since opening in 2012, we’ve focused on brewing consistently epic craft beer with a North Coast attitude — balancing creativity, quality ingredients, and approachable flavor in ever

y batch. From award-winning lagers and hop-forward ales to dark porters, sours, and seasonal specialties, our rotating tap list is brewed for the wild at heart. Our brewery was built on a remediated brownfield site as part of a major environmental cleanup effort in Canal Park. Sustainability continues to be part of who we are today, from rooftop solar panels and energy-efficient systems to sourcing local ingredients whenever possible and doing our part to help protect Lake Superior. We’re more than a brewery — we’re a full-service restaurant serving burgers, sandwiches, tacos, salads, appetizers, and comfort food favorites alongside our handcrafted beer, cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic options. Guests can enjoy indoor dining year-round or relax on our dog-friendly patio with fire tables and lake views just steps from the Lakewalk and Aerial Lift Bridge. Whether you’re visiting Duluth for the weekend, grabbing dinner after a hike, warming up after a day on the lake, or filling crowlers to take home, we’re proud to be part of your North Shore tradition.

8:30 AM at Canal Park Brewing Co. 🍺

Some people start their mornings with coffee.
Our brewers start theirs by sampling new beers and training the team on tasting profiles. Tough job, somebody’s gotta do it.

Your next favorite brew might be in this lineup right now. 👀

Duluth said “here’s 5 nice days… don’t waste them.” 🌷☀️

So the team from Missinne Gardens planted early at Canal Park Brewing Co. Normally we’d wait until mid-June because… well… Duluth. 😂

Now excuse us while we monitor the forecast like it’s a breaking news event. 🍻❄️

Today, Twin Cities Live featured two of our Minnesota Brewers Cup 1st Place winners — Lone Trekker Belgian Single and Barrel Aged Night Trekker Baltic Porter — during a segment promoting Brew Love, the June 17 fundraiser at Target Field benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest.

The event celebrates Minnesota craft breweries while supporting families staying close to loved ones receiving medical care.
We’re incredibly grateful to be included alongside so many amazing Minnesota breweries, and we’re proud to help support such an important cause.

A huge thank you to Twin Cities Live, the Minnesota Brewers Guild, and Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest for the opportunity.

And yes… both beers are pouring right now in Duluth. 😉

But fair warning: Barrel Aged Night Trekker is a very small batch and won’t last forever.

We’ve been getting lots of questions from our wonderful hotel guests about whether the patio will be open today… and the Magic 8 Ball says:

Signs point to yes. ☀️🍔🍺🎱

A little Duluth spring trivia: flowers are planted a bit later up here to give them the best chance to thrive by the lake. Our beautiful seasonal flowers from Missinne Greenhouse & Landscape will be arriving the second week of June, and we can’t wait to see everything in bloom! 🌸

This beer means a lot to us.

Our Barrel Aged Night Trekker Baltic Porter recently earned a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup after also taking Gold at the Minnesota Brewers Cup — and we only made a small batch of it.

No cans.

If you want to try this award-winning Baltic Porter, you’ll need to stop into Canal Park Brewing Co. while it’s still pouring.

Expect deep roasted malt, smooth oak character, dark chocolate notes, and the kind of beer that makes you want to linger for another round.

Some beers are made to travel.

This one is meant to be experienced right here in Duluth, next to Lake Superior. 🍻
