Gaetano’s tonight and special as my PT friends were my dining partners. Both love food and are great cooks-and very young so we decided that this was the place as they had not been. Decorated for Halloween, the place looks great, but you still get that ambience of days gone by but made up to date. It was mobbed and we settled in for fun and lots of tasting. We started with arancini, the cheesiest and best served in hot honey and their terrific spicy calamari. Then we tasted the burrata which is divine with prosciutto and more. We had to have the new salad that is a must-greens with divine dressing and croutons from the homemade focaccia and what a hit. We were stuffed by now but on we went. Lasagna, chicken parm, risotto and salmon and a “had to try” penne with alapeno poppers and chicken. Every entrée was fabulous including the last one that really was delicious too. Every bite was perfect. And then dessert-oh we had to as Ron has a new pumpkin olive oil cake with salted maple mascarpone icing that puts any pie to shame. Yes, the tiramisu was wonderful but not compared to this latest creation. Pumpkin has found its way into my heart with this cake! Sorry that all the food is not in the pics as we ran out of room in the collage.Great dinner, service, food, portions (doggy bags galore) that shows when you do it all right, the crowds will come.
