It was difficult to choose a photo. She says in this post, "A single song can bring back a thousand memories". It's incredible to think about how many people are listening to her, right now at this very moment. Millions and millions and millions of memories being recalled, today and forever.

A single song can bring back a thousand memories 🎶

Diana Dill Savage was born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 16, 1947. Her family moved to Dallas by the time she was starting school. She went on to become many things, a Bryan Adams Belle, an ADPi at UT, an au pair in France, a teacher, jazz singer, painter, wife and mother. But above all else, she was a force of nature. As her family, we loved watching people watching her sing- holding their breath, utterly spellbound. Diana lived a life full of whimsy and wonder, and brought a certain effervescence to every room. When she was diagnosed with Stage Four pancreatic cancer in 2021, it felt like we were immediately living on borrowed time. But in the last four years, she fought against every single statistic to see not just one, but two grandsons born. She loved them so fiercely, so joyfully, so deeply, it was as if that borrowed time was standing still. We got to watch them watch her, too, equally spellbound and transfixed. Her memory lives on in all of us, but we think her spirit will always shine the brightest within them. She passed peacefully on December 19, with Stoney and Stella by her side. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and always when she was her most joyous self. It will be a perfect time of year to celebrate her in the years to come. We will always be chasing her magic. Thank you for all of the love and support during this time. — Sincerely, the Savage Family.
