At Crystal Lake Brewing we are passionate about creating world-class beers right here in McHenry Coun

We are a production brewery, which is a very different thing than a brewpub. Our focus is on brewing great beer for sale to bars, restaurants and retailers across northern Illinois. But we also have a great place to enjoy our beers here at the brewery; our tap room. Here in the tap room, we offer regular tours of the brewery, and the space is dedicated to providing our guests with a world-class, beer-centered experience. In the tap room, we offer only our beers (no wine or mixed drinks). We don’t have a kitchen, though we encourage guests to bring in their own food or order it in from one of the great local restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake.

The b**r garden is open, so stop by this weekend for a pint! We've got more than a dozen delicious b**rs to choose from, but if you can't decide, order a flight. This one features our Hoppy Pilsner, Too Much Cologne, Backflip and Farmhouse. We've also got two of our favorite food trucks visiting this weekend: Toasty Cheese (Friday, 5-8pm) and Smash’D (Saturday, 4-7pm). Cheers!

In support of the Care4 Breast Cancer 5k this Sunday, our pink lemonade hard seltzer is now on tap! A portion of every pint goes to our local Family Health Partnership Clinic, helping give access to healthcare in our community. Food trucks this weekend include Your Sister's Tomato (Friday, 5-8pm), Chilo’s Mexican Grill (Saturday, 4-9pm) and Little Rock Stock BBQ (Sunday, 2-6pm). Cheers, everyone!

This year we entered our award winning Beach Blonde into a new category- Dortmunder or German-Style Festbier. This category was one of the top five largest categories at the GABF. Out of 161 b**rs, Beach Blonde made it to the final table of the best 15 Dormunder/German-style Festbiers in America. Winning a medal would have been awesome, but just knowing that we made it that far in the competition is certainly gratifying.

Lovers of real cask, hoppy ales, be sure to stop in to the tap room this weekend for a pint of Son of a Hoptopus dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Pineapple Express. It's a truly unique hoptastic brew, hand pulled through our b**r engine at a traditional cellar temp. Cheers to the weekend, friends!
