Wild Goose Creative facilitates the creation of art across multiple mediums by providing resources and experiences for the Columbus creative community while connecting artists and audiences in a versatile space. Wild Goose Creative is a catalyst and a gathering place for local artists, audiences, and creative people. With a multipurpose creative space at 188 McDowell Street that is sometimes a gal

lery, sometimes a school, a kitchen table, a living room, a concert hall, or a dance floor, Wild Goose Creative cultivates the creation of excellent and surprising art. It’s about sustainable partnerships and artistic collaborations. It’s about giving artists resources and facilitating their work. It’s about creating a space for people to experience art and engage each other, to tell stories and listen. It's about participating in the hospitable arts culture of Columbus, Ohio. Mostly, Wild Goose Creative is about helping to build a vibrant community of people who care about art and who want to change the world. All the programs you see listed on our site either got their start or have found a temporary home at Wild Goose Creative and are coordinated by creative people in the Columbus community. WGC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is supported by community donations and by generous grants from the Columbus Foundation, The Ohio Arts Council, and The Greater Columbus Arts Council. The grants from GCAC have been made possible by the City of Columbus. We have also received grants through The United Way of Central Ohio and the Coalition for a Non-Violent Columbus. And lastly, we have amazing members.

We are so grateful for our neighbors who helped us get boarded up quickly and for the outpouring of support we’ve received from the community after yesterday’s car crash.

All programming is still on this week at Wild Goose, including Monday’s Figure Art (live figure model session), Tuesday’s Portfolio (artist q&a with Cliff Lewis), and Thursday’s Speak Easy (live storytelling on the topic of Stage Fright).

Join us for our August Wild Gallery opening of two exhibitions: Lightness and Gravity, featuring work by Cliff Lewis, along with Speaking of Art: The Intersection of Storytelling and Art, featuring work by the visual artist of Speak Easy, tonight, Friday, 8/14, from 6-9 PM. These two exhibits ask you to reflect on both the stories being told and the stories we keep silent.

Join us for the July Wild Gallery opening of Junk Drawer, featuring Chad Kessler & Hawke Trackler, Friday 7/10 from 6-9pm during Franklinton Fridays. Junk Drawer draws from DIY culture, skate aesthetics, and street art. This exhibition celebrates the imperfections and the transformative potential of everyday materials. Both Chad and Hawke explore the idea that art can emerge from anywhere and anything. They embrace the idea of beauty in everyday objects and experiences. Junk Drawer invites you to take a closer look at not only the work in the gallery, but also the objects surrounding you every day.

Miniature enthusiasts and lovers of all things teeny tiny will not want to miss The Tiny Show featuring hundreds of artworks under six inches across a variety of mediums, including paintings, sculptures and mixed media work. The Tiny Show will take place place May 23 & 24 from 11am-6pm and will be a first look at Wild Goose Creative’s future home at 480 W. Town St., where we are moving next month!

The Tiny Show will be held concurrently with Jeni’s Ice Creams and Land-Grant Brewing Company’s annual Strawberry Jam, which will take place immediately outside the gallery. We strongly encourage use of public transportation, biking, ride sharing and other alternative methods of transportation to The Tiny Show as parking in Franklinton will be in high demand!
