the wnba finals schedule isn’t the only spooooooky thing around here! we’re also preparing for our first drag show on Halloween night (start time of 10pm in case we have a game 7…!). there will be a costume contest at intermission and we’ll be judging four categories:
🏳️‍🌈 “I hate gay Halloween, what do you mean you’re…?”
🤺 best sporty drag (sports uniforms *are* drag, especially if you’re wearing falsies with your eye blacks)
🧵 craftiest costume - make sure the mod podge is (mostly) dry!!!
💃💃(💃) most iconic duo/trio - calling all powerpuff girls, sanderson sisters, spice girls minus 2 of them (or enter as a 5-some, there aren’t really rules here)

we’ll have prizes for all winners and just by participating you’ll get a little treat and one of our only rules at Babe’s is you cheer for everyone as if they’re your best friend so we promise you’ll have a good time 💕

🔗 event link in bio! just a few early bird tickets left and then we’ll have GA available online and at the door! make those halloween plans now and plan to come to BABES 💕

just because we’re able to pivot for the game on Thursday doesn’t mean we’re happy about it. we just sent this press release to our media contacts, please share this with anyone you’re connected to who wants to amplify this story. this move is so disrespectful and out of touch and we plan to cause a ruckus about it.

no matter how hard they make it to watch womens sports, we’re making it work. we’re concocting some fun coffee and matcha specials and will open at 9am on Thursday for anyone who wants to set up a work station until the game starts at 11:30. we have plenty of outlets and strong wifi and a team of bartenders who are also so enraged by this that they’re willing to invert their schedules to make this happen. see you Thursday morning, we can talk about how they’d NEVER do this to a men’s team over a hot cup of coffee ☕️

WOW what a weekend - we’re taking a much deserved/needed break between game 4/the boozy book fair yesterday and opening our doors for game 5 tomorrow! we’ll be closing at 5PM today so we can all go support our teammate in her musical endeavors and will be ready to welcome you into the bar tomorrow at 6PM for game 5!!!! thanks to everyone who came through this weekend, happy sunday!!

10/22/2026

looking for halloween plans? we’re hosting our first drag show at babes on the 31st and it’s gonna be spooooooky and saaaaaaapphic! wear your spookiest fit, we will turn the stage over to the audience for the costume contest halftime show! there are still some early bird tickets left - linked in bio 👻

*if the finals go to 7 games we will watch the game and then clear the space for the show, we’ve been planning around that possibility!*
**and while we’re talking about it hey WNBA can we avoid scheduling big (HUGE) games on days like … idk… halloween?!?!!!!**

10/21/2026

we have all the info you need to know about the boozy book fair coming up this Saturday from 5-10PM! scroll through for details (and to get an early look at our first book club selection!!), and put this on your calendar asap (if it isn’t already 📚 👻). bring your book-loving friends and celebrate literacy with us this Saturday!
