TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 · 5:30–7:30 PM · PORTUGAL v SPAIN

Mandy is back behind the barrel this Tuesday, and we’re putting two of the Iberian Peninsula’s great wine countries head to head: Portugal vs. Spain.

We’ll start in Portugal with the bright, refreshing Calçada Vinho Verde before crossing the border for Ontañón Tempranillo Blanco, made from a fascinating natural white mutation of red Tempranillo discovered in Rioja. Then back to Portugal for Lago Rosé from Vinho Verde, followed by classic Viña Herminia Crianza Rioja from Spain, and we’ll finish in the Douro with the rich, spicy Duris Reserva.

Five wines. Two countries. Mandy behind the barrel. You decide who wins.

Tasting is $10 per person, and free with the purchase of a bottle.

Laura Lindsay is behind the barrel for her very first Wine Tasting Tuesday, and she is bringing the heat.

We’re heading to France for five wines that hit some of our favorite corners of the country, starting in Burgundy with Justin Girardin Bourgogne Aligoté, then moving to Jean Marc Burgaud Beaujolais, Domaine La Florane Côtes du Rhône, Frédéric Mabileau Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, and finishing in Bordeaux with Château Lamothe de Haux.

Burgundy, Beaujolais, the Rhône, the Loire and Bordeaux. Five wines, five regions, and a pretty great way for Laura to make her Tuesday Tasting debut.

Tasting is $10 per person, and free with the purchase of a bottle.

Closing Tonight from 5 to 7 PM

Wine & Company will be closed to the public tonight from 5 to 7 PM for Pour for Purpose, a charity event supporting women diagnosed with LAM.

We are honored to host an evening that brings people together around something much bigger than wine.

We will reopen to the public at 7 PM for normal service. Thank you for your understanding and for allowing us to support this important cause.

Last week in Napa, we had the chance to visit No Love Lost and spend some time with winemaker Jay Nunez. It reminded us exactly why we fell in love with his wines in the first place.
