Before I had the honor of running this bar, I was a patron for over 10 years.

In that time, I’ve met some of my favorite people here, both across and bellied up to the bar. The kind you laugh with too loud, the kind you tell the truth to, the kind that show up when it matters.

As we grew closer, Margarita Monday became a community mainstay, so much so that we internally renamed it. We simply called it family dinner.

Because every Monday at family dinner, you knew for sure where your people were. You’d get together and talk about what’s going on in your lives, exchange funny stories, and really connect in a way that the hustle and bustle of New York City life doesn’t often allow you to do.

And in those moments, surrounded by chosen family, you couldn’t have felt safer.

As time and the state of our nation has reastically changed, not a lot feels safe anymore.

So as we rebuild Margarita Monday, we are reinstating a place of gathering. A place that, for the low cost of six dollars, offers the best margarita in Clinton Hill made with delicious , and a place that for a little while, they can call theirs.

And by donating a portion of Margarita Monday proceeds to the folks at , we have the privilege of extending that safety from our four walls to those who need it. People who due to the current regime, may not be lucky enough to know exactly where to find their people any given Monday.
