Charlestown has lost another beautiful soul, and heaven has gained one more voice to join the choir.
Grace Campbell was one of a kind. If you knew Grace, you knew her love for her family, her girlfriends, meeting new people, and making memories that would last a lifetime.
And of course, you could always count on a hug, a smooch on the cheek, a little coffee brandy, lots of laughs, and a song or two along the way!
Grace was the person who could turn your whole day upside down—in the best possible way. You could walk into a bar shift feeling down, stressed, or just having one of those days, and the minute you saw Grace, everything changed. One smile, one laugh, one conversation, and suddenly the day didn’t seem so bad anymore. She had a way of lifting your spirits and making you forget whatever was weighing you down. That was Grace’s gift. She didn’t even have to try; just being Grace was enough.
She was part of a special group of ladies who could light up any room, especially when sitting at the hitops they started singing their beloved Irish songs together. “We Are the Girls from Charlestown” wasn’t just a song to them; it was a bond, a friendship, and a beautiful piece of what made them who they were. Those voices, those laughs, and those memories will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Grace, there will never be another you. Your beautiful spirit, your love for life, and the friendships you cherished will never be forgotten. We can only imagine the reunion taking place in heaven, with Danny by your side and the girls gathered around, singing “We Are the Girls from Charlestown,” sharing stories, laughing, and raising a glass.
Rest peacefully, Grace.
Keep singing, keep smiling, and watch over your family and friends.
“We Are the Girls from Charlestown” — and you will forever be one of them. ❤️☘️🙏
Sending all our love and prayers to Kim and the entire Campbell family.
