Jon has brought an absurd amount of energy, care and personality to our cocktail service, and become an essential part of the special little world we’ve built in the basement.

Excellent cocktail server. Excellent human. Always bringing light to the room! ☀️ (Questionable decision-making in choosing all of us, but we’re very glad they did).

The Queen Sessions this week at Hotel Eve featuring, Saara Marie. You won't want to miss this one or any of the other Wednesday nights featuring a rotating cast of local female vocalists honoring Jazz artists that inspired them. ❤️

Saara Maria is an Asheville based singer songwriter with a strong connection to jazz and Neo Soul. Her origins in music began early in childhood when she heard Miss Sarah Vaughn and Ella Fitgerald for the first time. Their ability to transform their voices into abstract sounds both moved and inspired her. Raised in a family with a strong classical background, jazz was a fresh sound that soon became a way of life. Performing every genre imaginable in different projects throughout her career (including hip hop and jazz infused "Joomanji") jazz, has alway been a defining undercurrent in her style and delivery. Currently she is writing songs for and performing with her band Kaiora which has both jazz and neo soul influence. She will be releasing music this coming year. Stay tuned, it will be an experience worth making note of!

Join us Saturday 9/5 for the Album Release Celebration of Adam Rose + Mountain Jazz Quartet at Hotel Eve:

Adam Rose draws on a diverse background in jazz, classical, indie-rock and Americana genres. He learned to play jazz at the Philadelphia Clef Club, then worked as a producer and film composer in NYC before moving to Durham NC. There he continued his studies as a graduate assistant in composition and arranging. Since moving to Asheville in 2022 he’s collaborated with the areas finest musicians to create music that is evocative of both urban + Appalachian landscapes. This show at Hotel Eve celebrates his recently release of the highly anticipated new album, Holler Serenade.

Adam is joined by Brandon Blackburn on drums, Steve LaSpina on upright bass, and Iliana Rose on piano. Blackburn has toured throughout the US and Canada, performing at notable venues such as the Newberry Opera House, Carnegie Hall, and Town Hall in New York. Iliana Rose is a Cuban-American pianist, vocalist, composer, arranger, educator, and bandleader. An international touring and recording artist, she leads the Iliana Rose Cuban Jazz Band and presents performances, workshops, and lecture-performances nationwide, to celebrate and preserve Afro-Cuban musical traditions. LaSpina, who performed on Rose’s new album “Holler Serendade” is an internationally renowned bassist and composer. His background includes work with Stan Getz, Chet Baker and Jim Hall.

A limited number of CD’s will be available for purchase at the show.
