The Fat Fridays hit the Rockfish stage at 7:30 tonight — six world-class musicians tearing through the best of Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Carole King, Van Morrison, and more. Soaring three-part harmonies. A drummer so good the Washington Blues Society named their award after him. A woodwind soloist who is a Whatcom County legend. A pianist who can do things with keys that shouldn't be legal.

Good morning, Anacortes 👋

Tonight the Rockfish dance floor belongs to The Fat Fridays.
If you haven't heard of them — buckle up. These are some of the finest musicians in the Pacific Northwest, assembled into one gloriously chaotic tribute band with a playlist that bounces from Steely Dan to Patsy Cline to Fleetwood Mac to Grover Washington Jr. and somehow makes it all feel like one perfect night out.
Soaring harmonies. Jazz-level chops. A rhythm section that doesn't quit. And not a single cover charge at the door.

One of Western Washington's longest continuously running live music venues — right here in downtown Anacortes — and tonight is exactly the kind of night that keeps people coming back.

Tomorrow night at Rockfish, the dance floor is not going to know what hit it. 🎸

The Fat Fridays take the stage Saturday at 7:30PM — and this is not your average cover band. These are world-class, award-winning musicians who describe themselves as "a tribute band with ADHD," paying homage one killer song at a time to the greatest songwriting and dance grooves ever recorded.

Steely Dan. Fleetwood Mac. Paul Simon. Linda Ronstadt. James Taylor. Van Morrison. Carole King. Patsy Cline. Grover Washington Jr. Soaring three-part harmonies, jazzoid soloists, and what the band themselves call "the tightest rhythm section in all the land."
And they're not wrong.
We're talking a drummer who won the Washington Blues Society's Best Drums award nine times — so they named the award after him. A jazz pianist who plays with the A'Town Big Band and Whistle Lake Jazz Quartet. A woodwind player who is a literal Whatcom County icon and founder of the Bellingham Youth Jazz Band. A bassist who appeared on Asleep at the Wheel's Pasture Prime album. A vocalist who co-stars in Skagit County's beloved "Always Patsy Cline." And a guitarist who has been everywhere and done everything.
