Customers see the food and the smile. We see the late nights, the early mornings, the way you carry this restaurant and our family at the same time without ever making it look heavy.

Our Spring Grove High School girls basketball team will be here that day. They will answer the phones, take orders, pack the food, greet you, and hand it out.

Here is how it will work:
• We will have a special limited menu
• 80% of sales from 11–2 go to kids in need in our community — food, school supplies, illness, whatever the need for the child
• New Era will match 100% of all money raised
• 20% goes to the girls program for the upcoming season
• There will be a donation box as well

Our goal is to help children in our area and teach our girls life lessons that go beyond the court. Hard work, giving back, and how good it feels to help somebody else.

As most of you know, Alen is the new Spring Grove High School girls basketball coach.

Starting in October, New Era and the Spring Grove girls basketball team will launch a monthly fundraiser called Hoops and Hope .

One Saturday each month while the season lasts, the Spring Grove High School girls team will work at New Era Restaurant from 11 AM to 2 PM.

They will answer the phone, pack food, greet customers, and hand out orders.

Our goal is simple: Raise money for kids in need in our community. If a child is short on school supplies, food, facing an illness, or struggling with anything, we want to show up and help. We want to put a smile on a kids face.

Every month, the money we raise goes to someone who needs it.

We will create a special menu for this fundraiser. 80% of sales during those hours will go to Hoops and Hope, and New Era will match 100% of all money raised. 20% will go to the girls program for their upcoming season and all the hard work they will put in. There will also be a donation box if you can't order during those times.

All food will be to-go only.

Why we are doing this?

This is bigger than a Saturday lunch. We want to help children in our community and we want our girls to learn lessons that last longer than a season, we want them to grow on and off the court, teach them how to work, how to help somebody else, and why giving back is one of the most important things you can do in life.

When you help a child, you change more than their day. You remind them they are not alone. That is the heart of Hoops and Hope.

The exact date will be announced soon.
