Hello gorgeous humans, we hope you're having a spectacular week as we creep closer to the shortest day after which we get to enjoy the promise of more daylight ahead. Short note to day that if you were planning on coming in on Sunday evening can we ask you to come in early when we open at 1pm or maybe tonight and enjoy our happy hour instead. We'd love to see you always of course but the private function folk we're hosting on Sunday might not want you crashing their party. So, see you soon or tomorrow. Don't forget cocktails $15 and tap beers $10 today from 3-5pm on a Friday and some complimentary fries for the table of you for a second round.

What a glorious week to remind you that if you're planning on book club next week that you'll need to dust off something to read. From pirates to professors, fae to French detectives, now would be the moment. If you're not, then you might just want to consider trying our new cocktail - Provence sipper. And while you're there let us talk you into some dinner or a small bite to eat.

It's time to say goodbye to Autumn and hello to Winter. Our kitchen is switching over menus this week and so for the next couple of nights you can use this once in a blue moon moment to enjoy treats from both items. Speaking of a blue moon it's finally time for a long weekend and we're kicking it off with our happy hour on Friday and there's a couple of new cocktails to try that we're going to be rocking all winter long.

We're doing a thing and we hope you will be as excited as we are. Have you ever wished you could head to a wine bar that has a late night coffee option and talk about books? We did too! No prescribed texts to read, just getting to know some folk and chatting about what you're reading. Bring the book with you - no judgement on authors or genres - we're all about book chat of all types. We hope you'll come, treat the place as your own and grow this how you want it to be. So the serious details - like when and how - well it's going to be the second Thursday of the month at 7:30pm. Those that arrive with a book will be considered in book club and then able to have a free hot drink if they order something from the menu, like a dessert for example. We timed it for 7:30pm so you've got time to get home after work do what you need to do or tumble off the train and still not feel rushed. The first one is coming up - see you all on the 11th of June Hop & Vine at 7:30pm.

With the nights chilling down a bit we're warming up with a ragu or a gnocchi. While you're at it have a whirl at our new 2020 pinot noir from Gladstone vineyard. Or any of our local fantastic wines, beers and cider. Hop on in to see us Wednesday to Sunday each week.

Phew, that start to the week was a bit more moist than most of us were wanting. But other things that are welcomingly lip smackingly moist are our persian rose syrup cake and our crabapple and vodka spritz. Come in, we'll shake one up for you.
