This innocuous looking little fellow has been having a good week. People are loving our Kickin' Mule. Michael infused vodka with fresh Manzano, Carolina Reaper and Habanero chilis then combined that with the delicious Ancho Reyes liqueur in the pic, agave, lime, and spicy ginger beer. It's temper can be adjusted up or down on request.

If you're craving one, better come by tonight. We'll be closed Saturday and Sunday, but back for dinner service on Monday.

Starting off this week with something a little different. We have two wines from Gerd Stepp, who makes his home in Bad Durkheim in the Pfalz region of Germany.

The Pinot Noir brings both the lightness and delicacy typical to Pinots of the region alongside a juicy palate, a good dose of acidity and beautifully integrated tannins. Lovely, long finish with just a little pepper in there.

Scheurebe is a cross of Riesling and Bouquet Blanc cultivated in the region for the last century or so. Grown in warm, dry sites of limestone and sandstone, Scheurebe is highly aromatic with floral and stonefruit aromas and plenty of citrus (particularly grapefruit and lemon) on the palate.

We've been wanting to get something on the cocktail list using the delicious 3 Sisters gin from for a while now. Here is the Veraison. Combines the blushing gin and verjus from unripened wine grapes to get just the right glow and is finished off with gomme syrup, hibiscus, and a little berry coulis for sweetness.

We love Belgian/saison/farmhouse style beers, and particularly anything that crosses the threshold between wine and beer. So, we're excited to have some brews from on the menu: a Belgian Lemon Blonde, a stone fruit sour aged in barrel for 3 years, and two barrel-aged sour ales using pomace from Viognier and Pinot Noir grapes.

We've had some people enquire and we can now verify that Michael's book has completed its trans-oceanic voyage! There are now copies at . A big thanks to Adam O. Davis, one of the contributors to the book, for this fantastic photo. It sums up the situation around the Great Salt Lake and the Western US pretty succinctly.

We have a few spots left for our Argentine food & wine pairing on Thursday with Lucas from Del Mundo Imports. We put a few Rutini wines on the menu this past week as a little preview and, aside from a couple glasses of Chardonnay, they are long gone. You can book your spot at the link below. Looking forward to Thursday!

It's been chilly the last couple of days, so we've brought our Wassail back a little earlier than usual. Unfiltered apple juice mulled on citrus and spices, it's lovely on its own as a non-alc options but is delicious with rum, whisky, brandy or applejack.

It's no secret that people are looking for more low- and non-alc options. It's also no secret that 0% wines are hard to make and even harder to make delicious. So, we have a fun addition to the menu this week. .world is an Aussie brand that offers what they call wine alternatives instead of 0% wines. They come in both still and sparkling and are very thoughtfully crafted with tannins, real fruit, salinity as well as great herbal additions to offer complexity and more body. We plan to bring in a few at a time to get a feel for which ones people prefer.
