Waikino Tavern sits in the scenic Karangahake Gorge, right beside the Ohinemuri River and the Hauraki Rail Trail. At the end of January, two of our hardworking team members are setting off on overseas adventures, opening up opportunities for eager individuals to join our iconic and historic Hotel & Distillery.
We’re looking for people who can multitask across every part of the business—from flipping burgers and making pizzas, to pouring beer or mixing cocktails. Experience is welcome but not essential; we're happy to provide training. However, knowledge of either the Food Control Plan (FCP) or Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act would be an advantage.
Currently, these positions are covered by two part-time staff members, but we’re flexible and open to discussing options such as job sharing. If you think you have what it takes, send your CV to [email protected].
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand without visa restrictions.

Summer is officially here!!
How exciting!!

With Christmas, New Year and amazing summer weather coming up so fast, we know you are all very very busy but we are hoping you can still find some time to come and join us!

We have the End of the Year Pool Competition on 6th of December, while all the places in tournament are taken, you should definitely come to watch some trick shots & cheer for all the players!

We are hosting Social Club Dinner and Quiz Night for all Social Club members on Saturday 20th of December.

On 24th of December the Christmas Eve we will host our last Local's Night of the year, $15 meals available from 4 pm.

Christmas Day and Boxing Day we will be closed, sorry for any inconvenience - we will be open again on 27th of December 12 pm sharp.

In the meantime don't forget to come by to grab a drink, lunch or bottle of your favorite Gin to go, to accompany you and your family through this blissful time!

Hey Folks!
November and Summer is almost here!!

We are starting strong with Singles Day on 8th of November start at 4 pm.

Another Edition of R18 Quiz Night on Saturday 15th November 6pm sharp! With our amazing host Grace!!

Then we have another Language Exchange meeting on 20th Of November, start at 4.30 pm- this time we will be learning a little bit of Polish language!

And for the awesome end of the month and start of the Summer we will have Adelle & Morgan playing their awesome, chilled tunes on 29th of November from 6 pm onwards.
