Super Chill Sunday coming up!

From 1pm we’ve got the brilliant folks from the Christchurch English Folk/ Trad Session who’ll be playing their lovely acoustic tunes in the round - all welcome to play along or just listen! Free!

Then we’ve got the fine fine folk from the Canterbury Blues Club from 6pm with a fantastic line up for your listening pleasure!

Steph Mcewin, Billy Valance & Jon Ho**er, and The Steven Gill Band with Adam McGrath, club members $5, non-members $15, annual memberships available.

Stephanie will be bringing us her own distinct style of soulful, musical interpretations. Showcasing some carefully selected, favourite tunes and a couple of originals. Maybe even her most recent composition ...don’t miss this performance!

Billy and Jon perform a dynamic range of the Blues, moving seamlessly from the sounds of the Delta and all the way to chicago.. Jon is a master fingerpicker, which lays down the solid foundation for Billy’s virtuoso harmonica playing and heartfelt vocals. They have played together for over thirty years and have recorded three fine albums of original and cover material.

Steven Gill draws inspiration from the guitar mastery of Roy Buchanan, Scott Henderson, and Jeff Beck. Backed by Shaun Burke, Glynn Macdonald, and Dan Pawsey, the band delivers a powerful, solid sound. Sharing the spotlight is Adam McGrath, whose freight-train vocals and commanding stage presence guarantee a performance to remember.

Coming to town all the way from Tasman/Nelson, the magnificent Westcoast Blues Band hit the stage for your dancing and musical enjoyment!

Founder, Ivan Outram, started the band so long ago he can’t remember exactly when. Whilst the line-up has changed over time, the music has not. The band still play hard out US style Chicago and West Coast blues. Ivan leads from the front with searing guitar work and heartfelt vocals.

‘Newcomer’ (only joining about 15 years ago), Jak Karaitiana, brings a solid bass groove which keeps the engine room driving.

Simon ‘Shuffle’ Terrill holds down the rhythm end on drums with exquisite feel, from slow blues to hard-driving blues rock.

Paul Denny is an old hand on the blues harp, playing in numerous bands for over 30 years, and thrives on that crunchy Chicago style tone and energy.

West Coast Blues Band really know where the groove is, having played together for so long! If you enjoy old-style shuffle, Freddie King, SRV, Clapton and more, this is the band for you!

West Coast Blues Band playing 6-9pm, then Davey Backyard takes the stage till late.

Next Tuesday 26th we’ve a very special edition of Inner City Jam - it’s the Rusty Pickups (AUS) Inner City Jam takeover!! We’ll kick off the night with a mini-show from the Rusty Pickups touring from AUS and following their release of three new singles!

Will appeal to fans of: THE BAND, BOB DYLAN, GILLIAN WELCH, OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW and more!

The band (Michael ‘Cookie’ Cook, Lee Fielding, Amily Le Brocque, Ayden Roberts, and Waylon Katz) have a traditional, down-home, classic country-folk sound, built on their ability to effortlessly blend splashes of riverboat keys, melodic clawhammer banjo, rolling upright bass, and charming acoustic guitar, with classic story-telling vocals, memorable songs and four-part harmonies.
Since the release of their six-song EP Rattle In My Heart in 2023, they’ve been on a golden run, picking up
shows, tours, and festival appearances that would be the envy of many in the Australian country, folk, and alt-country scenes. Most recently, the band played Woodford Folk Festival, and made a Toyota Park mainstage appearance at Americana In The Park at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
