As many of you know, it was a very busy weekend here at the Kaiapoi Club over the King’s Birthday weekend!
Not only did the amazing Rangiora Boxing host the 2026 South Island Golden Gloves on Saturday and Sunday, but we also had the wonderful Pioneer Marching Team celebrating their 50-year reunion.
With two fantastic events happening at the same time, our staff were kept incredibly busy. We just wanted to take a moment to recognise and thank every one of them for their hard work, dedication, and positive attitude throughout the weekend.
Both events were a huge success, and that’s thanks in no small part to the efforts of our amazing team behind the scenes. We are incredibly lucky to have such a great group of people representing the Kaiapoi Club.
A huge thank you to all our staff – we appreciate everything you do! 👏👏

Hi Kaiapoi Club
I know you will have received thanks over the past few days, but I wanted to add mine once more. The effort you both put in to ensure our event was a success truly cannot be put into words — and the last-minute hiccup was absolutely not your fault.
Your dedication went above and beyond in every sense, right down to keeping watch at the doors to prevent people from wandering into our space despite the signage! That care gave us the opportunity to display our many years of photos and memorabilia in the way they deserved.
Our founder's husband and family thoroughly enjoyed both days and will carry wonderful memories from this event. Your chefs and their team did a truly amazing job — we have received so many positive comments, not only about the delicious food itself, but also about the attentiveness of the staff in keeping dishes replenished throughout. Nothing went unnoticed. Both days the food was delivered exactly on time, which given the pressure on you all this weekend was a great testimony to the dedication of yourselves and staff. Please congratulate your staff on a great team effort.
Thank you so much. We hope that after the weekend you will all have a well-deserved chance to breathe.
