Bodegas Lacort works closely with small, dedicated vine growers. Some spanning over 30 years of partnership, primarily across Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. The vines thrive on calcareous-clay, ferrous-clay, and alluvial soils shaped by a predominantly Atlantic climate, giving the w**es a brilliant balance of structure, elegance, and freshness.
The roots of the Lacort family’s involvement in w**emaking trace back to the late 19th century, following the phylloxera plague in France when many French w**emakers moved to La Rioja. The family partnered in founding historic ventures like Bodegas Franco-Españolas in 1890. Inspired by this, Mariano J. Lacort established his namesake w**ery at the beginning of the 20th century in the legendary Estación de Haro district, becoming a pioneer of modern viticulture in Rioja.
From crisp whites and rosés to deep, structured Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva, each bottle tells a story of century-old heritage, Atlantic-influenced soils, and meticulous craftsmanship.
