Back in the 1870s — when General Custer made his last stand, Queen Victoria became Empress of India, and the telephone had just been invented — our iconic building on Eyre Square was already standing proudly in Galway.

Long before it became one of Galway’s most photographed pubs, the building was known as the town’s leading agricultural supply store. Horses were once stabled behind the shop, heading out through the main gates to make deliveries around the city.

Today, the history remains part of the charm — a true Galway landmark with stories built into every wall. Call in and see a little piece of history for yourself next time you're in Galway City 🍻
