It’s Sunday Session time again and we’re welcoming back to the stage the stupendously sonorous songstress that is Ms Amy Greene who’ll be taking us through jazz classics, ballads from a bygone era as well as the odd crafted current number

They’re doing it again! You may remember that last year, Nathaniel, Dom and Maddie ( Cycle Heaven ) cycled 1000 miles from the bottom of the UK to the top for @ - well, now they are cycling across Wales next week to raise money for Rewilding Britain !

We’ll be sharing their progress as they embark on their adventure through what once was beautiful ancient woodlands.

LIVE MUSIC! We have two more amazing shows coming to York this autumn 🍂

Elsa Hewitt + Kirk Barley - Double Headline Show

Two of the UK’s most inventive electronic artists are heading to the Angel this October! 

Elsa Hewitt is a producer and songwriter whose intuitive, offbeat approach blends dream-pop, ambient and electronica into hypnotic, self-sampled soundscapes... glistening, elusive, and built from her own recorded world.

Kirk Barley (aka Church Andrews) is a Yorkshire-born composer and sound artist.

As Barley, he creates organic works from field recordings, instrumental fragments, and found sounds. His compositions often resemble sonic dioramas, with layered textures that unfold and invite exploration.

As Church Andrews, he explores rhythm-focused music, using digital synthesis and algorithmic techniques.

Across both projects, his work channels Jazz, Minimalism, Post Rock, and Hip-Hop, folding irregular rhythms, evolving temporalities, and alternate tunings into dynamic sonic landscapes.

Kirk has performed across the UK, Europe, and Canada, And his music has been released on labels such as Accidental, Odda, 33-33, and his own Health imprint.

Expect an evening of immersive, boundary-pushing sound from two artists at the top of their craft.

Angel on the Green welcomes Sam Moss to York as part of his UK tour - a Virginia-based songwriter and fingerstyle guitar player whose latest album Swimming has been acclaimed by publications like Uncut, No Depression, and Aquarium Drunkard. Moss draws from folk, blues and Americana, weaving intricate guitar work around thoughtful songwriting.

Support on the night comes from Sofa Sofa, bringing their own homegrown warmth to open the evening.

A man, a voice, a guitar, a legend. The outrageously talented virtuoso of a performer.
