NEW IN AT HANDLEY TAP! 🍻

We’ve got two brand new releases in our b**r fridge this week… which one will you try first?

BLOOD MOON 🌙🩸
In collaboration with Abbeydale Brewery we bring you Blood Moon, a deep red IPA inspired by one of Abbeydale’s classic b**rs, Moonshine. This deep-red IPA puts a darker twist on its pale predecessor, combining rich caramel and toasted malt with layers of citrusy, resinous hops and a firm, satisfying bitterness. Named after the eerie phenomenon that turns the moon a striking shade of red, Blood Moon is a bold evolution of Moonshine — darker, deeper and ready to shine when the sun goes down. 🌑

BOURBON BA EMPRESS TONKOKO 2026 🥃
Our irresistibly indulgent Empress Tonkoko is back with a twist as part of our State of Mind series. Introducing our BOURBON BA EMPRESS TONKOKO 2026 , a luxurious imperial milk stout aged for 1 year in a St Augustine bourbon barrel. Sip on notes of aromatic vanilla, creamy tonic bean and toasted coconut infused with rich oak, caramel and spirit notes from the barrel, deepening its complexity. 😮‍💨

Come visit us this weekend and try one out for yourself! Open from 4pm today 🍺

With heavy hearts we bring you the latest taproom news: It’s General Manager Bramina’s last weekend at Handley Tap! 🥺💔 So come on down this Friday (25th) and Sunday (27th Sept) so we can give her a royal sendoff ahead of her new adventure 🤸‍♂️🍻

We asked her what her favourite Handley Tap moments have been over the past year and…

Events! 🎊
It felt really special to be a part of customers’ 💍 weddings, 🎈birthdays, 🍾 anniversaries, 🍼 baby showers, and more!

It was also such a pleasure to hold events for the community, like:
🎂 Handley Tap’s 4th birthday party!
🎀 B**r & Braids
🍬 Kids Christmas Candy Cane Hunts
📲 Thursday SpeedQuiz nights
🥊 Women’s Boxercise classes
🧶 Crafty workshops

📸 Social media stunts 🤳
Was a bit of a challenge thinking of ways to make you all laugh through some social media stunts.
💪🏻 Lifting kegs and the ⚽️ World Cup 2am game photos will fondly remain in my memories for a while…

😋 Food Vendors! 🤤

A huge thank you to all our amazing food vendors that have brought us such delicious treats and for sticking with us through thick and thin 🧡

🐶 ALL the doggos! 🐕

Seeing all of the four legged cuties coming through the door would often be the highlight of a shift 🐾

Thank you to all the dog owners who brought them down to meet us, and for letting us show your pups some love 🤎

🍺 B**r Garden Moments! ☀️

🎵🎹 Live Music on Sundays! 🎶🥁🎸

Huge thank you to all the musicians who brought us such joyous and fun live music sessions! 💙

Random moments: The way we always knew when you guys had a good night at our venue based off how many glasses would get left behind on our windowsills 🤣

📚 Starting the book swap!!

I hope customers now and in the future will feel free to find a cozy corner to enjoy a book in the taproom OR join the book swap by taking a book and leaving one for others to enjoy 💛

Seeing the wonder on people’s faces whenever they enter this building for the first time! There’s a real hidden gem inside this exterior that you could never expect 💜

And… That’s a wrap.

I hope to see many of you this Friday/Sunday, and otherwise wish you all the best until our paths cross again! 🥰🍻
