⛵️💙 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL HULLBRIDGE YACHT CLUB SOCIAL MEMBERS 💙⛵️

Social Membership Renewals – April 2027

As we look ahead to 2027, we’d like to give everyone plenty of notice that all social memberships will need to be renewed from April 2027.

🍻 Membership Cards & Bar Access

From April 2027, we will be ensuring that our membership rules are followed consistently.

All members visiting the bar will be required to have their valid social membership card with them, as staff will be asking for cards to be shown.

❤️ A Little Personal Note from myself

I also wanted to take this opportunity to be open and honest with everyone.

Due to some personal circumstances this year, I haven’t been as on top of membership renewals and checking cards as I would normally like to be.

I genuinely appreciate everyone who has taken the time to renew and pay their 2026 membership, and I want to say a big thank you for your continued support. ❤️

However, moving forward into 2027, I will be making sure that we are much more consistent with our membership procedures and that the club operates in accordance with the rules and conditions of our licence.

These rules are important for protecting the club and ensuring we can continue to provide a welcoming place for our members, families and local community to enjoy.

If you’re interested in becoming a social member of Hullbridge Yacht Club, please feel free to speak to us at the bar or get in touch for further information.

⚠️ OFFICIAL NOTICE – YACHT CLUB GATES & PRIVATE GROUNDS ⚠️

We are issuing this notice following an incident today at approximately 1:13pm, which was captured on our CCTV.

A young man was seen climbing over our electric gate, to cut through to Pooles Lane, The CCTV footage alerted us to what had happened.

We want to make our position absolutely clear:

🚫 DO NOT CLIMB OR JUMP OVER OUR GATES.
🚫 DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BYPASS THE GATE WHEN IT IS CLOSED.

Both the main road gate and the riverfront gate are CLOSED EVERY MONDAY AND TUESDAY. The Yacht Club grounds are private property, and access is not permitted when the gates are closed.

Our gates are electric and are not designed to be climbed over. Doing so can cause serious damage to the gate and its mechanism, as well as potentially causing serious injury to the person attempting to climb it.

We have CCTV covering the grounds and access points, and incidents such as this will be monitored and recorded.

We ask everyone to please respect our property, our equipment and the scheduled gate closures. If the gates are closed, there is a reason — please do not attempt to gain access by climbing over them.

This is not only a matter of damaging private property; climbing an electric gate is extremely dangerous and could have very serious consequences.

We would appreciate this message being shared so that everyone who uses the riverfront and surrounding area is aware of the arrangements.

THE GATES ARE CLOSED MONDAY & TUESDAY.
PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB, JUMP OR BYPASS THEM.

Pop down to Riverview Café, open from 9:00am – 3:00pm! ☕🍳🥪🍰

With temperatures expected to reach 34°C today, we’d kindly ask for your patience and understanding with the cafes amazing kitchen and front-of-house team. ❤️

Seans staff will be working incredibly hard in very challenging conditions, as the kitchen and building become extremely hot during this weather. They’ll be doing their very best to serve everyone as quickly and efficiently as possible, but there may be slightly longer waiting times than usual.

Please remember your kindness and consideration towards the Riverview cafe team as it is always greatly appreciated, especially on days like today. 😊
