Dear all,

We are issuing this statement to protect the integrity of our business and those involved in yesterday’s incident.

We are aware of an article that has been published regarding the events of yesterday. Unfortunately, some reports can overstate situations, so we would like to separate fact from fiction and address any rumours with the truth.

Yesterday was otherwise a busy, enjoyable, and successful day that was unfortunately overshadowed by a single incident. What began as a minor disagreement—something that can occasionally occur in any licensed premises—escalated into an isolated assault.

The seriousness of the situation arose when one individual fell and sustained a head injury. Due to the nature and severity of that injury, emergency services were required, and both the police and ambulance service attended the scene.

As always, we fully cooperated with the authorities, and continue to do so. The situation was managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures and protocols.

We do not tolerate violence or disorderly behaviour, and incidents of this nature are extremely rare during our tenure at The Railway. We remain committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all our customers. Ultimately it was also a huge disappointment for our establishment.

The relevant authorities have been provided with all the necessary information. We kindly ask that people refrain from spreading rumours or relying on inaccurate accounts, and instead respect the facts of the matter.
