💜 NOT ALL HEROES WALKED ON TWO LEGS 💜

As we approach Remembrance Sunday, 8th November, let us not forget the silent heroes and innocent victims of war.

Throughout both World Wars, millions of horses, donkeys, mules, dogs, pigeons and other animals served alongside our brave men and women.

They carried the wounded, delivered messages, transported supplies and endured unimaginable suffering.

They never chose to go to war. They never understood why they were there. Yet they served, suffered and sacrificed their lives.

💜 The purple poppy reminds us of these forgotten souls — the animals who had no voice, no choice and, for so many, no journey home.

As we remember those who gave their lives, spare a thought for those whose sacrifice is too often overlooked.

They had no choice. They gave everything.

🎱💚 SPA hero’s POOL MARATHON FOR MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT! 💚🎱

Hi everyone, Dean here! 👋💚

On Sunday 15th November, I’ll be joining a fantastic team of pool players for a Pool Marathon at The Spa Pub, Hockley, all to raise money for the amazing Macmillan Cancer Support.

🎯 I’M HOPING TO RAISE £500, AND I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP! 💚

Cancer has touched so many of our lives, whether it’s family, friends or someone close to us. Macmillan does incredible work supporting people going through some of the toughest times of their lives, and I’d love to do my bit to help.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Colin at Amos for allowing us at The Spa to be part of this year’s Remembrance display.

It’s an honour to be involved in something so meaningful and to help show our respect to those who gave so much for us.

The display looks absolutely fantastic, and it’s wonderful to see our community coming together to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

🎃👻 HOCKLEY HALLOWEEN TRAIL IS BACK! 👻🎃

After the amazing turnout and incredible atmosphere last year, we’re so excited to announce that the Hockley Halloween Trail is returning for 2026!

📅 Saturday 31st October

⏰ 4pm – 8pm

🎟️ FREE family event!

🚧 Spa Road will be closed from 3 to 9 for the children’s safety

Bring the whole family down for a spooktacular afternoon and evening of Halloween fun around Hockley! 🕷️🦇

🍬 Trick-or-treat around our participating local shops

🎨 FREE face painting

🗺️ Halloween Trail Maps can be collected from ANY participating shop on the day

🎃 Lots of Halloween fun for the whole family

✨ PLUS… keep your eyes peeled for a SPECIAL SURPRISE at 5pm & 6pm

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION ⚠️

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the trail.

🆘 CHILD SAFETY POINT – CK BLINDS

There will be a dedicated Child Safety Point located at CK Blinds throughout the event. If a child becomes separated from their parent or guardian, please make your way to the Child Safety Point for assistance.

🚦 Please take extra care when walking around Hockley and crossing roads. Keep children close to you at all times and use designated crossings where available.

🍬 Parents and carers are responsible for checking any sweets or treats collected, particularly for children with allergies or dietary requirements.
