Well, it was a lovely Sunday for a Roast just gone and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but we’re now fully booked for them until the 6th December…!
We’d like to thank you ALL for making them so popular and such a wonderful atmosphere each weekend. And of course, we couldn’t do it without Tyler and Sam doing such a great job in the kitchen too.

If you’d like to book one for the 6th or 13th of December, please do send us a DM.

Today, we open at 4pm with 5 lovely cask ales on. Thursday from 4pm for 1/2 price w**e. Friday and Saturday from 12 noon for Tyler’s fantastic pub lunch and drinks until 1am. Sunday at 12 and you’re welcome to join us for a pint or a glass of w**e and enjoy the atmosphere.

Flashback to Saturday just gone.
We had the great honour of hosting a VERY special birthday party for our dear friend Steve Fletcher Steve Fletcher

The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic and the pub was totally packed with love.
It was perfect..! Like an M&S tv advert.

Today is Steve’s actual birthday and we just want to wish him ALL the best and cheers to many more.

We love you Steve.

Hello All, hope you’re having a great week so far.
We get our working week at The Tavern started today with fresh new stock of real ales and open at 4pm. Same again tomorrow for 1/2 price w**e and prosecco.
Then, on Friday we open at 12 for Tyler’s pub lunch to 3pm and drinks until gone midnight.
Saturday, we’re actually “closed” for a very special private party for a while. It’s not something we do normally, but a great friend is having a “milestone” birthday and only wanted it here and we couldn’t refuse.
We might be open to everyone a bit later in the evening though if you’re in town and fancy a great pint.
Sunday we open at 12pm for Sunday Roasts. We’re fully booked now until 8th Nov, but have 2 tables left for that date and the 15th too and of course we’re open for drinks anyway.

Kudos to Mr Chris Thirtle on hosting his first monthly Quiz Night here at The Tavern last night..! It was a full house with 13 teams and another £120 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support
Well done to “Rick’s Return” on beating me and my boys by just one point and winning the £40 bar tab top prize.
The atmosphere was fantastic and our “Play Your Cards Right” bonus round at the end was an absolute hoot too.

Thank You again to Christopher Rhys Thirtle and THANK YOU to ALL that came along and put a great end to a perfect Sunday here at The Tav.

The next one is on 15th November at 7pm.

Let’s get crack(L)ing..! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere today, made even better by the fact that our wonderful little Kiara Snow seen serving right now actually qualifies as a solicitor tomorrow morning! 👏🏼

She’s worked SO hard at her day job, as well as here, and we couldn’t be more proud of her 🎖️

We’re fully booked for our roasts until 8th November, when we have a few tables left to fill. We’re fully booked on 29th November already too, but if you fancy any others, please DM us as soon as you can to secure your place.

We’re very proud to announce that on top of winning Hook Norton Brewery “Pub of the Year”, we’ve also been included in the latest CAMRA “Good B**r Guide” for Witney & West Oxfordshire again.

As you know, keeping the best quality cask ale is right at the top of our priorities and purpose. So, to be recognised like this is a real reward and we’ll forever continue to try and please b**r drinkers and also introduce more generations to the delights of a truly great pint too.

Today we open at 4pm with 5 fresh ales on tap, plus all the usual la**rs, ciders and much more.
Thursday at 4pm for 1/2 price w**e.
Friday & Saturday at 12 for lunch and drinks until late.
Sunday at 12 for roasts (fully booked) and at 7pm it’s the return of our Monthly Quiz Night.

Hello folks. Our kitchen is closed today while Tyler goes and sorts out some business in Oxford. But we are open for drinks from 12pm until late tonight and will be serving food as normal tomorrow. Including our “Whitby to Witney” fish & chips (I had the pleasure of sitting as a customer and enjoying this portion last weekend).

It’s a very HAPPY 21st Birthday, but also sadly, a farewell, to our wonderful Paisley Hillier …!

What a fantastic member of the team she’s been, but is heading off to university and a life of amazing adventures.

We’re sad to see her go, but grateful for her time with us and wish her well with all she has ahead of her (which will include lots of acting. So keep an eye out for her on your telly).
