The Duke of York, Iddesleigh is currently looking for an experienced chef to join our friendly team!

Famous for our home cooked pub classics and generous portions, including our steak and kidney puddings cooked from scratch here for 50 years, we require an experienced chef with experience of running a service and of general kitchen and stock management. As well as a good knowledge of compliance and equipment management.

We have hours ranging from full time to part time available. With lots of flexibility in hours.

Very good rates of pay available either employed or on a self employed basis.

Possibility of accommodation provided if required.

This bank holiday Monday is the annual Iddesleigh Friendly Society club walk. The 188th club walk in fact!

This year, as well as the Hatherleigh silver band performing throughout the afternoon, we will have entertainment from Tich Scott and Bill Murrin, the boys to entertain you in a Devon dialect.

There will also be all the thrills and spills of ferret racing later in the afternoon, as well as the usual children’s games and races from 1pm and a big prize raffle.

Everything starts at 11am and goes on all afternoon! So come and join the fun!

Hello everyone! Just a little reminder that we still have space left over the Easter weekend.

We are serving lunch and dinner everyday of the week and Sunday lunch from 12 noon through until 9pm! This Sunday we will be serving topside of beef, leg of lamb, homemade nut roast, or honey glazed gammon. Or a mixture for those who can’t decide, served with all the trimmings you would expect.
