Situated directly on the River Thames, The Boatman is in one of the best locations in town for soaking up the incredible waterfront and riverside views and watching the world go by. The Boatman’s extensive outside terrace offers seating for up to 100 people and is available for exclusive hire making it perfect for al fresco celebration during the spring and summer months. It also has an all-weather conservatory with retractable roof and heating for when the weather is inclement. Head inside and you’ll be met with a stylish pub that combines Olde Worlde pub charm and sophisticated socialising to create a relaxed place to eat, drink and be merry. You’ll also find a chic space for private events for up to 70 people along with a range of menus created to fit any event. The team at The Boatman has created a British menu and bar offering that’s filled to the brim with classic, freshly cooked food, great wine and a fantastic selection of cider and beer, all served with a warm welcome and friendly smile.

🍻 Two classic bitters. Two great British brewing stories.

We’ve got two proper favourites on draft — St Austell Tribute and Fuller’s London Pride. But there’s a bit more history behind these pints than you might think…

🍺 St Austell Tribute
Tribute began life in 1999 as “Daylight Robbery”, brewed by head brewer Roger Ryman to celebrate the total solar eclipse over Cornwall. It proved so popular that in 2001 it was relaunched permanently as Tribute, becoming St Austell’s flagship b**r. Today, it’s loved for its fresh, zesty character, with notes of orange and grapefruit.

🍺 Fuller’s London Pride
London Pride has been brewed at the historic Griffin Brewery in Chiswick since 1959. Its name comes from the little flower Saxifraga x urbium, which famously grew among the rubble of London after the Blitz — a symbol of the city’s resilience. It went on to become one of Britain’s best-known cask ales.
