THE BELVEDERE – 1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY 🎉

What a year it’s been!

Over the last 12 months, we’ve been working hard to take The Belvedere from strength to strength, building on its traditions, bringing people together and creating a pub that the community can be proud of.

There’s been plenty to celebrate along the way, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has played their part.

A massive thank you to all our darts teams, skittle teams and, of course, our fantastic league-winning football team. Some brilliant achievements across the board:

🏆 Premier Cash League Winners
🏆 Wednesday Friendly League Division 3 Winners
🏆 Ladies Division 2 Winners
🏆 Sunday League Football Winners

Away from the leagues, we've enjoyed quizzes, open mic nights and, importantly, continued to uphold The Belvedere's tradition of great live music.

We've always wanted The Belvedere to be more than just a pub. A place where people can come together, enjoy themselves, support local talent, compete, celebrate and feel part of something.

Of course, over the last year we've also taken on board the odd bit of negativity along the way. That's part and parcel of moving things forward, and we believe constructive feedback, even when it's not always easy to hear, can be just as valuable in helping us improve and achieve our goals.

A huge thank you must also go to Red Oak Taverns, whose support from the brewery has been instrumental in helping us turn our vision for The Belvedere into reality. We genuinely appreciate the backing and belief they've shown in us.

Most importantly, thank you to every single person who has supported The Belvedere over the last 12 months. Whether you've popped in for a drink, joined a team, attended an event, enjoyed the live music or simply supported us along the way, it really does mean a lot.

One year down, plenty more to come.

Here's to continuing to build, improve, achieve and make The Belvedere an even better place to be.

HERE'S TO THE NEXT 5 YEARS! 🍻❤️

Paul, Joe and our amazing team

🎯 FULL NELSON TAKES HOLD OF HARVEST TITLE 🎯

What a day of darts it was yesterday at THE HARVEST OF ARROWS round robin competition at The Belvedere..

A full field of 32 players spent the day battling it out on the oche and in with a chance to win the £200 winners prize

After 7 hrs of group games completed the winners of each group were

G1 - Paul Paice
G2- Chris Gow
G3- Andrew McDermott
G4- John Nelson

Onto the knock out stages and once again some great matches, one stand out performance was Chris burton coming from 2-0 down to beat Dominic Mann 3-2 and also Paul Giblin who knocked out last comps finalist Chris Gow 3-1.

Quarter finals saw match up of the heavyweights in Danny Aplin and John Nelson with Aplin 2-0 up then 2-1 up and missing numerous match darts before Nelson’s class took over and won 3-2

Battle of the team mates saw Paicer vs Chris burton, this again came down to a one leg shoot out to which Paice held his nerve and booked him a semi final spot

Mark Samways and Andrew McDermott respectfully came through their tie 3-0 & 3-1

Semi finals once again served up a great contest in Nelson against one of the local favourites and last time out champion Andrew McDermott..
A 4-2 win for Nelson in which saw both players hitting 180s and 140s for, even a 138 from McDermott wasn’t enough to defeat Nelson.

Second semi final between Paice and Samways once again went to a last leg decider, nerves and possibly drink influence saw both players miss chance after chance to book a final spot,
Samways finally killed Paicer’s title surge and won the contest 4-3

Onto the final..
A very much one sided affair this time..
Nelson who travelled down from London for the day and definitely had a focus on going back to the big smoke with the title wasn’t going to be denied
A 5-0 win over Samways saw Nelson take the title and the prize pot..

Special mention to Lisa Warren who was furthest lady on the day and taking two great wins in what was a very tricky group

We’d like to thank everyone who played on the day.
The amazing bar staff who didn’t stop all day, Kim and shai
Fran sibley for getting all the athletes energised with hot food
