Our Grade II listed Georgian building is bursting with character and if famous local William Cowper was still penning poems today, we're pretty sure he would be regularly found propped up at our bar sipping a pint of Pedigree. Not a bar, not a restaurant, not even a gastropub, whatever that is. Just a great village pub โ€“ a cosy place where you'll find roaring log fires, creeping purple wisteria around the lattice windows, muddy boots at the door, and local food cooked from scratch by the very brilliant Russell. We welcome dogs (even muddy ones) and usually have a biscuit on hand to make them lifelong friends. And assuming it's not a boozy party night, we love seeing our pub being enjoyed by babies and children. We've got some games to keep them occupied, a playground in our garden and a kid's menu they'll devour.

We pride ourselves on our proper home made Sunday Roasts. Served in our traditional village pub, but just minutes from Olney and only a few miles from Central Milton Keynes.
With chefs hand peeled roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire puds, fresh vegetables, and a selection of British meats all topped with Chefs homemade gravy, its the perfect Sunday lunch.
We don't think you'll need it but our Yorkshires and Roasties are unlimited. So just ask your server and we'll rustle up as many as you can eat. Don't you just love Sundays?

Most of you know that we already close on a Monday and open on Tuesday evenings only. This is just to let you know that we have decided to close all day on Monday & Tuesday from now on.
