The Old Kings Head has always had a rich history for not only competing at darts, producing great players and teams but bringing home silverware.
This past season was no exception, in the Worle Darts League, where our Friday team won not only the league but also the cup.
As you can imagine we were immensely proud of the teams achievement.
No doubt Mr Percy Wilcox felt the same way when his Old Kings Head team achieved exactly the same feat in 1939.
Pictured here are our current double winning team and the 1939 team, including team captain Alf Lee’s trophy kindly donated to the pub by his grand daughter Tracey Paddock.

People often ask how we source some of our acts at your home of music in Worle.
So here’s a pleasant story regarding this Saturdays evening act Jack Perrett Music.
Whilst on a night out at the Utilita centre in Cardiff we left the gig to witness a large group of people surrounding a lad busking. Everyone was buzzing, after the gig, and singing along with artist and clearly not in the mood to go home any time soon. We watched a couple of songs before retiring.
The next day we set about trying to find out a little bit more about the busker and after finding his name we started trawling social media to enable us to contact him.
There we discovered a real gem, Jack has previously received numerous accolades for his original music from the likes of BBC Wales amongst others and even been fortunate enough to support Paul Weller. We simply just had to book him.
Anyone who has watched the most recent Oasis reunion documentary at the cinemas will be able to see how this hard working South Wales musician makes his living. Featured busking outside stadium and doing what he does best, entertaining people.
We look forward to welcoming Jack once again and he will be supported by local new talent Joe Rossiter this Saturday night from 7.30pm so please get here early.
