DID YOU KNOW…that you can bring your own food into the Kings?!
Yep - that’s right, since we closed our kitchen last year, you can bring any takeaway of your choice in, order something in to be delivered or even bring a picnic from home!

I mean, why wouldn’t we? We’re surrounded on a street of fabulous takeaways (including our lovely friends at Mr Chips!)
We’ll even supply cutlery, plates and napkins for ya 😎✌️

So whether you’re grabbing a cheeky battered sausage as some tasty hot snack on your way home from work, or tucking into a bargain bucket for one (we ain’t here to judge!) enjoy it here with a pint of the good stuff!

Although we madly miss our incredible home cooked roasts and pub classics, this works for us and seems to be working for you too ❤️

In the UK, you pay one of the highest VAT rates in Europe. 20% extra in VAT for your meal out or stay away. In France, Spain and Italy, it's 10%. In Germany? 7%.

Our message to Government is simple. Let's stand together to say VAT at 10% is fair for hospitality.

Yes. You read that right!

We FINALLY managed to have our Christmas staff party last night (better late than never!) and although sadly a few of the team couldn’t make it, the rest had an absolute blast!!!!!!

We took a party bus down to Brighton to see the LADYBOYS OF BANGKOK show and it was every little bit incredible ❤️

So please go easy on my staff today 🤣🤣

WOW! Thank you thank you THANK YOU all so so much for coming and celebrating my 5th anniversary with me here at The Kings Arms yesterday!

It was just the most perfect day, with the amazing playing the roof off, the sun shining and a garden packed full of beautiful, lovely people.

I’m the luckiest landlady in the whole world.

Thank you so much for the best 5 years. You all make this place such a special, happy place to be and like I said yesterday…

BRING ON THE NEXT 50, COS I AINT GOING NOWHERE!!

TONIGHT (Friday 8th May) we have the fabulous Paradise 80’s Tribute in the building, who always bring a party! So get ready to throw yourself round the dancefloor like nobody’s business 💃🕺🏽

SUNDAY 10th MAY - from 5pm we have the incredible Willie Austen and Paul Stenton playing in the garden (weather permitting) so bring your bestest singing voice and join us for the perfect Sunday 😍🎸

SUNDAY 17th MAY - JODIES 5th year here at The Kings Arms 😳😍 and we’re celebrating in true style with the one and only The Saviours of Soul!!!! Live music starts at 5pm every Sunday and weather permitting, we’ll be in the garden 🥳🥰

Wow - what an absolute treat we have for you this month at Horsham’s living room of live music 😍❤️

TONIGHT - we even have our very own landlady doing her thing from 8.30pm!!!!!

SUNDAY 3rd MAY - local legend Paul Stanworth is back baby!! After a short break for medical reasons he’s making his big comeback with us this weekend! He’ll be sporting a beautiful big moon boot and not able to perform in his usual stilettos - so sorry, but Time Warp is off the menu this weekend!!

Plenty of other fab gigs coming up this month too! So see you soon friends.

Me: “Pretty much gonna be hanging out at The Kings. You?”

Them: “Oh cool. Have they got anything going on?”

Me: “Thursday night they’ve got Open Mic Night. Friday night, they’ve got live music with the David Hay Band. They’re showing the six nations on Saturday afternoon then they’ve got Zak Maine playing live on Sunday at 5pm!”

Them: “😳”

Them: “Oh, who’s that girl stuck on their front door…?!”

Me: “Ah. That’s our Emma. She’s one of the legends we have running around behind the scenes making everything look fabulous.”

Them: “Fab! That’s a hard job…!”

Me: “Nah…her hardest job is getting Jodie out of bed in the mornings” 🤣
