Whether you’re planning a wedding reception, birthday party, celebration of life or work do, we’d love to help make it a day to remember.

Set in beautiful country side of West Sussex, The Bax Castle offers a variety of spaces to suit your celebration.

For smaller, more intimate gatherings, our cosy pub rooms provide a relaxed and welcoming setting. If you’re looking to celebrate with a larger group, our beautifully decorated and heated pergola is ready to bring your plans to life.

During the summer months, those booking our pergola will also have use of our lovely outdoor garden, giving you and your guests the perfect opportunity to make the most of the sunshine, fresh air and surroundings.

Having hosted many parties and weddings over the years, our team has plenty of experience in making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. From the little details to the bigger moments, we’ll be on hand to help, so you can relax and enjoy your special day with the people who matter most. ❤️

Our pergola can accommodate 100+ guests and includes a privately staffed bar, dance floor and space for your DJ and/or live band. We also have a range of catering options available to suit different tastes and budgets.

After the fantastic response to our sold out Christmas Party Nights last year, The Enchanted Christmas Lodge returns to The Bax Castle this December — and this year we’re partying until MIDNIGHT

Gather your work team, friends or family and step inside our fully enclosed and heated Enchanted Christmas Lodge, transformed into a magical festive setting filled with Christmas sparkle.

We take care of the food, entertainment and festive atmosphere — you just need to get your group together and enjoy the night

Our naughty little ducks have been causing trouble all summer… sneaking off and hiding themselves around The Bax Castle

Every day throughout the summer holidays, our duck hunt is on for the kids:

Hunt around the pub and gardens to find one of our missing ducks
Bring it back safely to the duck pond and claim a free ice cream

But there’s a twist…

⭐ The special duck! ⭐

Each day, one extra-special duck is hiding somewhere. Find that one and you get to keep the duck and still enjoy your free ice cream

It’s been brilliant seeing so many little duck hunters joining in over the holidays — and those naughty ducks just keep escaping again the next day

So next time you visit The Bax Castle, keep your eyes peeled

(One free ice cream per duck hunter. Ducks must be returned to their pond unless you find the special duck)

Looking for an affordable family day out this summer? We have you covered.

Our bouncy castles are up all day, everyday (weather permitting) and the best part? They're completely FREE! We know how expensive the holidays can be, so we've made sure there's plenty of free fun for the little ones while you dine with us.

After a quieter visit for your little ones? Weekdays are usually a little calmer, giving children of all ages and abilities more space to bounce and play.

Our kitchen is open daily, serving delicious food, and our bar is stocked with plenty of refreshing drinks to keep everyone happy.

If you'd rather escape the hustle and bustle of our bouncy castles garden, we also have separate gardens where you can enjoy a peaceful visit.

A relaxed social cycling event from Shalford/Guildford to Brighton via the Downs Link on Saturday 15 August.

The ride is all about getting people out on bikes, creating a proper social day out and supporting local pubs, cafés and breweries along the route.

Bax Castle will be offering Pedals & Pints riders 20% off their first drink.

Not timed. Not competitive. No club pressure.
