Named Pub & Bar Magazine Best Pub in Hertfordshire & the East of |England in 2019. The White Hart dates back to 1681 and it was Welwyn's main coaching inn. It was a popular overnight stop for travellers going north from London and at one point it offered fourteen beds for
humans and stabling for thirty four horses. It was also home to the village courtroom, where petty sessions were held, when mis

demeanours may have included theft and assault and, ironically,
drunkenness. For lunch & dinner the restaurant offers an A la Carte menu as well as a bar snack & sharers menu. The bar is open all day where you can pop in for a pint of real ale or have cocktails & G&T's before
your meal. The extensive wine list consists of wines carefully selected by one of the brothers James who enjoys nothing more than recommending & discussing wine. The kitchen uses quality ingredients that are the drive for delicious, well thought out & creative dishes.

We had an absolutely brilliant time at the Welwyn Oscars last night. Not only did we win Best Pub & Best Waiting Team but Harrison came away with Best Bar Person too!

Honestly… we’re more into fizz than football 😬⚽️

are celebrating their 150 year anniversary by challenging their pubs to raise as much money for local charities as possible - & we love a challenge!

Throughout the summer we will be hosting a series of fundraising games & events to raise money for charities close to Welwyn’s heart.

Kicking things off is a good old fashioned meat raffle. Up for grabs is a luxury meat & cheese hamper worth approx £150 from butcher to the Royal household - 🥩

Tickets are £5 a strip & all proceeds will go to village heros . Tickets can be purchased at the bar or in the charity shop, the winner will be chosen on the 1st July!
