Named Pub & Bar Magazine Best Pub in Hertfordshire & the East of |England in 2019. The White Hart dates back to 1681 and it was Welwyn's main coaching inn. It was a popular overnight stop for travellers going north from London and at one point it offered fourteen beds for
humans and stabling for thirty four horses. It was also home to the village courtroom, where petty sessions were held, when misdemeanours may have included theft and assault and, ironically,
drunkenness. For lunch & dinner the restaurant offers an A la Carte menu as well as a bar snack & sharers menu. The bar is open all day where you can pop in for a pint of real ale or have cocktails & G&T's before
your meal. The extensive wine list consists of wines carefully selected by one of the brothers James who enjoys nothing more than recommending & discussing wine. The kitchen uses quality ingredients that are the drive for delicious, well thought out & creative dishes.

On 25th September, 11am–1pm, we’ll be opening the doors to The Court Room for a lovely morning of coffee, cake & community - all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

We’d love your help to make our cake table extra special! 🍰 If you’re able to bake or donate a cake, we’d be incredibly grateful, every contribution will help us raise even more.

We had a brilliant time at last night’s Supper Club & Germany was a perfect country to welcome in the new season 🍂

Guests enjoyed 4 courses of German inspired dishes, including pink pickled eggs, pork knuckle & Black Forest cookies - all served with some excellent w**es from Wine2Trade 🍷

Next month we host our most popular theme - Game!

We will also be hosting the first of our Supplier Dinners, where we celebrate English w**es alongside a 5 course menu - this is available to book online on the 2nd Oct at 6:30pm.

We’re so keen for darker evenings, live music & dancing with your mates. For our first evening this Friday we are joined by the ridiculously talented Dave Foster & to kick things off he’ll be playing an extra long set from 7pm - 10pm
