✨🔥🏰 10 Years of ‘Espetadas’ 🏰🔥✨

As we celebrate our 10th Birthday, we’re celebrating something that has always been at the heart of what we do — the Espetada 🍢

Born on the beautiful island of Madeira, the traditional Espetada is simple, rustic and full of flavour. Traditionally: tender pieces of beef seasoned with garlic, coarse salt and bay leaf, skewered onto bay laurel sticks and grilled over hot coals🔥

Here at The Skewer House, we’ve taken inspiration from this much-loved Madeiran tradition and made it our own — creating a restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of Espetadas, all inspired by the flavours, spirit and traditions of our birth home, Madeira🏝️

But in Madeira, an espetada is about more than what’s on the skewer. It’s about gathering around the table, sharing food, laughter and conversation with family and friends ♥️

And for the last 10 years, that same spirit has been at the heart of The Skewer House 🇵🇹

10 years of Espetadas. 10 years of memories. 10 years of bringing people together 🥹🥰

Somehow we’re turning 10! 🥹 Something we could have only ever dreamed of when we took on this chapter 🏰🫶

As we reach this incredible milestone, we reflect on what a rollercoaster journey this little dream of ours has taken us on and how incredibly lucky we are to have such a fantastic superstar team by our side and a hugely supportive community 🥰

Without you, we wouldn’t be the successful family business we are today ♥️ With that in mind, we thought it only right to give something back! 👀

Last year for our 9th Birthday, we transported to Taunton, the magic of Live Fado 🎶

This year, we think it’s about time we sent someone to Madeira and saw what all the fuss is about ✈️🏝️😌

✨💖☀️ Joint Team Summer Social ☀️💖✨

Last week we took our teams out in Plymouth for a day of activities at Adrenalin Quarry and a top tier fishy dinner Rockfish Plymouth 🤌🏼🐟

It was really great to see everyone let their hair down and enjoy themselves outside of the work space 🫶 We continue to feel incredibly lucky to have such fantastic teams at Corner Club Taunton & Skewer House Taunton 💖

We wouldn’t be the establishments we are, without them 🥰
