OFFICIAL COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS
📅 Starting Sunday 25th October 2026
As we prepare to kick off Tamworth’s Got Talent, we would like to make all contestants aware of the official rules and regulations.
Our aim is to provide a fair, enjoyable and exciting competition, giving local undiscovered talent the opportunity to shine! 🌟
1. AGE REQUIREMENTS
* All contestants must be aged 16 years or over to enter.
* Contestants aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over at all times.
* Valid proof of identification and age must be provided when requested.
2. NO PROFESSIONAL SINGERS
🚫 STRICTLY NO PROFESSIONAL SINGERS!
* This competition is designed for amateur and undiscovered talent.
* Anybody who has previously received payment for performing a singing gig is NOT eligible to enter.
* Should it come to our attention at any stage of the competition that a contestant has previously been paid to perform a singing gig, they will be immediately disqualified.
* This rule applies throughout the entire competition, including the semi-finals and grand final.
3. JUDGING PROCESS
🏆 Judging will take place during both the semi-finals and grand final.
Our judging panel will consist of a mixture of:
* In-house judges.
* External judges representing other venues.
* Individuals from different backgrounds within the entertainment and music industry.
This is to ensure that judging is conducted as fairly and impartially as possible.
4. FAIR PLAY & CONDUCT
We expect all contestants to treat fellow performers, judges, organisers and audience members with respect.
Any form of cheating, dishonesty, intimidation or unacceptable behaviour may result in disqualification.
5. ORGANISERS’ DECISIONS
The organisers reserve the right to verify contestants’ eligibility and disqualify anybody found to be in breach of the competition rules.
Judges’ decisions during the semi-finals and grand final will be final.
