🏆 SWANSEA'S NEW WEDNESDAY NIGHT POOL COMP 🏆

​We’ve had a lot of people asking about getting a proper weekly pool night sorted, so we’re doing exactly that. Starting this Wednesday, we are running a weekly pool competition at The Globe, followed straight after by a game of killer pool. 🎱

​The format is dead simple. It’s £5 entry for the main tournament, and the winner takes the entire cash pot home. No split prizes, no second place, just winner takes all. Once that’s wrapped up, we’re doing killer pool—another £5 on the night, and again, the winner takes the lot. 💰💸

So if you think you’re one of the best players in the city or you just fancy yourself to clear a table when the pressure is on, get your face in the room and prove it. Even if you just want to come down for a few pints of Guinness, watch some decent frames, and enjoy the atmosphere, everyone is welcome. 🍻👏

​Also, just so everyone knows, our table is 50p a game all day, every day. So if you want to get some practice in before Wednesday night kicks off, the room is open. 🔴🟡

Where do we even start?

Last night was one of those nights we'll remember for a long time.

The place was absolutely buzzing. Friends and family, old faces and new faces, people meeting for the first time, plenty of laughs, plenty of singing and an atmosphere that made us proud to call The Globe home.

To everyone who came through the door, thank you.

You've no idea how much your support means to us.

Just a couple of weeks ago, this was just an idea.

Now, thanks to all of you, it's becoming something special.

Not because of us.

Because of the people walking through the door.

So, after an unbelievable Friday night, we're back at it again today.

🏆🎤 IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER THAN A FRIDAY?

One screen showing world-class sport.

Another corner arguing over the darts.

Someone trying their luck on the pool table.
A cold pint in hand.

And then, before you know it, the microphones come out and the whole place changes...

Last Friday was one of those nights.

The kind where one song became ten. Where people who'd never met before were singing together. Where nobody wanted to go home.
And tonight, we're doing it all over again.

From lunchtime onwards we'll be showing a packed day of sport, including tennis from Queen's Club, racing, darts, snooker and international football, before our very own resident karaoke DJ, Phil Everton, takes over from 7pm.

No egos. No strangers.

Just good people, good laughs and a proper Friday night.

Because sometimes the best nights aren't planned...

They just happen.
