Another sad day at the Metro Club as we say our final goodbye to our dear friend Duncan, who is being laid to rest today.

Duncan was a much-loved member of our club, and his loss continues to be deeply felt by all who knew him. Following the service at the crematorium, Duncan’s family and everyone at the Metro Club warmly welcome you back to the club to celebrate his life, share memories, and raise a glass in his honour.

Let us come together today to remember the laughter, friendship, and good times Duncan brought to so many.

Rest in peace, Duncan. You will always be remembered and greatly missed. ❤️

Today is the day we say our final goodbye to our dear friend, Keith “Jacko” Jackson.

As Jacko is laid to rest, our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Following the service, the Metro Club warmly invites Jacko’s friends and fellow members to join us anytime from 2:30pm for a private wake. Together, we will share a drink, enjoy some food, reminisce, and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.

Jacko’s wit, friendship, and unforgettable sense of humour touched countless lives, and we hope you can join us as we honour his memory and the lasting impact he had on our club and community.

Rest in peace, Jacko. You will never be forgotten.

Not long to go now until our 1st Open Qualifier and we’re looking forward to welcoming a fantastic field of players to Metro Sports & Social Club.

With quality competitors throughout the draw, there promises to be plenty of top-class crown green bowling on show from the first jack to the last.

Practice starts at 11:15am, with play getting underway at 12 noon.
