The Trooper is Staffordshire's premier steak house. Located in the historical village of Wall near Lichfield, a drink in on the terrace overlooking the beautiful Staffordshire countryside. Seasonality and local produce are at the heart of The Trooper. We go to great lengths to seek out and work with the best suppliers. Our wood fired oven has come directly from Italy to our kitchen to give you that authentic taste and our chefs have worked to create a pizza menu for you that's just a little bit special...

Our longhorn steaks are reared on Huntsham Farm in the beautiful Wye Valley. Huntsham Longhorn beef has been produced for over 200 years and is hung for a minimum 35 days. This ensures the fine grained, well marbled meat reaches its ideal maturity and full flavour potential. Our chefs have tailored our menu to give you a great selection of different dishes. From succulent chargrilled steaks, market fresh fish and homemade burgers. We are also more than happy to cater for any special dietary requirements at The Trooper. Choose from our great selection of ales, carefully selected wines and spirits and take a seat in the warm surroundings next to our open fireplace. We love traditional roast dinners with friends, family, why not try our sharing table where you can enjoy a whole roast joint with all the traditional trimmings with your family and friends. Please ask for details. We serve a fixed price lunch menu Monday to Friday between 12 and 3pm for just £10 for 2 courses
