The Fuse Festival is the flagship event of Lichfield Arts, a charity that for the past 40 years has worked to deliver a vision of a community where anyone can create, experience and be inspired by the arts. Fuse was originally set up in 2001 to provide live music in a free setting that would be accessible to all. Fuse has grown beyond these humble beginnings in a small tent near Stowe Pool into on

e of the largest events of its kind. It presents a fabulous eclectic mix of live music, DJ sets, dance, spoken word, family activities, food and drink. Although so much has changed, the core values and objectives remain the same: the Lichfield Arts' Fuse team works hard to provide opportunities for everyone to access a wide variety of live music and the arts, and is particularly passionate about giving new up and coming local performers a platform. And, despite funding pressures, Fuse remains a free event, something the team remains immensely proud of

What is Fuse Festival? 🎶🌳

It’s live music across the weekend.
It’s food, drinks at the bar and creative spaces.
It’s family activities, workshops and unexpected moments.
It’s a free festival built for everyone.

Fuse is a music festival first — with so much more to discover once you’re there.

Warning: this video may cause serious Fuse nostalgia… 😎🎪

We’ve just had to share this brilliant throwback- Fuse Festival 2017, filmed by BazzaBilo! It shows everything Fuse has always been about.

And here’s the bit that hasn’t changed one bit 👇
Fuse is still free. Always has been.
For over 25 years, it’s brought music, arts, performance and pure festival vibes to the heart of Lichfield, no barriers, just everyone together.

Massive shout out to Bazzabillo for sharing this slice of Fuse history — give him a follow for more Lichfield stories, history and moments you didn’t realise you’d forgotten.

Now the important part…

Don’t just sit there reliving it — Fuse is back this July 🎪
Same spirit, same city, same free festival magic.
