The Fuse Festival is the flagship event of Lichfield Arts, a charity that for the past 40 years has worked to deliver a vision of a community where anyone can create, experience and be inspired by the arts. Fuse was originally set up in 2001 to provide live music in a free setting that would be accessible to all. Fuse has grown beyond these humble beginnings in a small tent near Stowe Pool into one of the largest events of its kind. It presents a fabulous eclectic mix of live music, DJ sets, dance, spoken word, family activities, food and drink. Although so much has changed, the core values and objectives remain the same: the Lichfield Arts' Fuse team works hard to provide opportunities for everyone to access a wide variety of live music and the arts, and is particularly passionate about giving new up and coming local performers a platform. And, despite funding pressures, Fuse remains a free event, something the team remains immensely proud of

We’re back with another Emerging Talent Takeover!

Join us at Lichfield Guildhall on Friday 27 November for a night of fresh sounds, great live music and some seriously talented young performers.

We’ve got Emergence, FEEDBACK 🎸🎵🎤, and Amelie- Vocalist taking to the stage. Four great acts, plenty of energy and a chance to see some of the exciting young talent coming through in our area.

Come along, bring your friends and show them your support. You might just discover your next favourite artist!

We’re starting to put together the line-up for Fuse Festival 2027 and we’d love to hear from artists, bands and performers interested in being part of it.

From live music across a mix of genres to acts that bring something different to the festival, we’re always looking for great performances to share with our audiences.

Fuse is three days of free music and arts in Beacon Park, Lichfield, bringing together brilliant artists and thousands of people for a weekend of live performance.

📸 MY FUSE — THROUGH MAYSON’S EYES

We’re continuing our journey through My Fuse, our community photography project capturing the festival through the eyes of the people who make it what it is.

For this collection, the camera went to Mayson, a student from Chase Terrace Academy, who joined us for work experience last year.

Armed with a disposable film camera, Mayson spent the festival capturing the moments, people and details that stood out to them. No brief, no shot list, no pressure to capture the ‘perfect’ picture. Just their own perspective of Fuse.

Mayson is also the person behind some of our brilliant hand-drawn event signage. So if you spotted their artwork around the festival, you’ve already seen a little of their creative eye in action. ✍️📸

These images are part of the bigger My Fuse collection — 96 photographs taken by staff, volunteers, community groups and performers, each offering their own perspective on what Fuse feels like.

The numbers tell an impressive story, but they only tell part of it.

Fuse creates opportunities for artists and emerging talent, gives volunteers the chance to contribute and develop new skills, and gives our community a place to come together and experience great music and arts without the barrier of a ticket price.

This year that meant 37 hours of free live music, 115 free activities, 289 performers, 31 emerging artists and 130 volunteers, who contributed more than 1,500 hours over the weekend.

And none of it happens alone.

Huge thanks to everyone who helps make Fuse possible.

Lichfield Festival of Folk is bringing its brilliant Folk on the Farm event back to Woodhouse Farm & Garden CIC for its 4th year, on Sunday 20 September.

Expect a proper day out in the countryside, with live folk music, farm animals, good food and drink, and plenty to keep the family entertained. 🐄🐖🐓
